The author, Ishio Yamagata, is well-known for his slow publication pace. As we’ve observed, Ishio took about a year to complete every volume in Rokka no Yuusha. The series has been on indefinite hiatus, and the most recent volume was published in the year 2015. There are no updates regarding whether the author is planning to carry on the series or not.

While Rokka No Yuusha did gain some traction with viewers from around the world, it didn’t gain much traction in Japan. Keep in mind that Japanese viewers are still the top priority of anime production studios.
