Fans have waited five years for Taboo Tattoo Season 2. The anime received mixed reviews from both critics and viewers. This story was finished in its first season. Fans are eager to see the next installment of Taboo Tattoo.

Taboo Tattoo is a Japanese seinen animation. It was first derived from the manga, which was published from 2009 to 2017. Shinjirou wrote the manga and it ran for 13 volumes. From July to September 2016, J.C. Staff decided that the story could be adapted into an anime series. Takashi Watanabe was in charge of it. Later, the anime was expanded to 12 episodes which fans can enjoy. The main question now is: Is there a Taboo Tattoo Season 2?

Taboo Tattoo Season 1: Plotline

Seigi is a middle schooler who has been trained in martial arts and feels the need to help those less fortunate. He defends a homeless person against some punks one day and the man returns with a bizarre tattoo on his palm. This tattoo is a secret weapon that was created in the arms race between America and the Serinistan Kingdom.

This leads to a series of events that will bring Seigi into conflict with a special U.S. Army Unit and the Kingdom of Selinistan. Both are trying to gather powerful spell crests called Power Crests. These ancient artifacts can be used to shift the balance of power.

Seigi is in trouble when a powerful young girl with the same secret weapon pursues him to get it back. Although his martial arts skills may not be sufficient to keep him alive long-term, will he be able to learn to trigger the tattoo’s power in time? We want to see more of this story.

Taboo Tattoo Season 2: Renewal Status

Based on approximately 55,000 votes, this anime received a score of 6/10 on MyAnimeList. Crunchyroll rates it at 2.4 out of 5. This shows that Taboo Tattoo Season 1 was not very well received by the community. Funimation gave the story a rating of 4.5/5. There is still hope. The publisher hopes that the fanbase will be strong enough to make Taboo Tattoo Season 2 and can also improve some parts to increase the rating.

The series has been canceled or renewed, as we all know. Taboo Tattoo Season 2 was rated low and had low viewership. The publisher is still hesitant to release the second season. The manga was finished in 2017 so there are no main stories that need to be promoted. We will probably never see Taboo Tattoo Season 2 due to the mixed reaction.

Only twelve episodes were available for the first season of anime. The manga has thirteen volumes. The creators still have plenty of material to work with for future installments.

We can’t quit. Even though there is little chance of bringing back Taboo Tattoo Season 2, there must be a way. It’s been five years since the first season.

However, J.C. Staff may make a sequel if viewers provide good criticisms and suggestions for improvement. They must also maintain demand for Taboo Tattoo Season 2.
