He continues to search for the man responsible for Kashubian’s murder and finally, the circumstances allow him to find the man: Golden. Kashubian made him feel insecure about his place in the group. To achieve his financial ambitions, he tries to get rid of him.

He believed that Kashubian could not lead the group while he was still alive. He realized his power after his departure and freed the gang from its fierce rival Antmen. The gang doesn’t take this well and wonders how the situation has changed. As a gesture, they brutally kill Dawid and let him escape.

Police settle for a bust of drug dealers, which is far less than their original plans. Olencki and Tomasz Klimala make it clear that this is the main point.

Furioza is a story about family, brotherhood and morality. The story centers around Dawid, an ex-football hooligan and doctor, who is approached in the middle of the night by his ex-girlfriend, Savage, to help him infiltrate his brother’s hooligan group ‘Furioza’ in order to obtain information about their involvement with illegal drug trafficking. There is however a lot to choose from between these two films. The film lacks psychological character studies and depth to explore the deeper themes. Strong performances make up for the lack of character development. They set the right tone for the emotion.

Mateusz Banasiuk and Mateusz Damiecki are great in their roles. Damiecki was especially impressive in his portrayal of Golden’s psychotic behavior. This hotheaded character is one of the highlights of the film. However, Weronika Ksiakiewicz’s portrayal of ‘Savage” is a waste. To fully submerge us in her struggles, we need to be able to develop her character.

Klaudiusz Dwulit, cinematographer captures the dark world of hooligans beautifully. His bleakness in grasping the entire landscape gives the impression of a post-apocalyptic setting and the fear of doom. This compliments the editing by Milosz Janiec & Wojciech Wlodarski, who keep the film’s pace while making certain sequences more exciting for the audience.

Furioza is dark, gritty, and brutal. This film is not for everyone. Even with superficial treatment, the themes of brotherhood, family, and morality still resonate. It should be appreciated.
