Preview Before Mindhunter Season 3

Before getting to the heart of the matter, let’s do a little reminder before we start talking about Mindhunter Season 3.
What’s Happened in Mindhunter Up to Now?

Holden Ford (portrayed by Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (portrayed by Holt McCallany) are two FBI agents who fight against the system to identify the killer with Means, Motive and Opportunity. This comes with the attached stigma of being called “backroom boys” in the 1970s.
Backroom boys attempt to improve upon these criminals’ modus operandi by adding psychology, sociology, and anthropology. They are aware that criminal behavior has changed from greed and needs to be understood and rationalized.
They come up with new theories through psychological evaluation. They will find the criminal by asking the cause of crime. This series is about two agents who develop a new way to investigate a crime using sociopathic minds.
Season 1

Season one sees Agent Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) become a frustrated FBI hostage negotiator and finds himself allied with Agent Bill Tench (Holt McCallany). They both begin to study a new type of murderer: serial killers.
They continue with their research. Holden meets Ed Kemper in a close encounter. Wendy Carr (Anna Torv), who is a psychologist for the Behavioral Sciences Unit, joins them and helps Bill. Their insights lead to an arrest.
Pennsylvania’s Holden Ford, Bill Tench and their investigation of a bizarre case lead to many clues and a surprising number of suspects. When they can’t explain their findings in Altoona, both men have to struggle in court.
Wendy Carr joins the team on a permanent basis. Bill and Wendy try to increase the team’s size by interviewing for a fourth person. While interviewing Richard Speck, Holden is bold in his approach. This results in a variety of opinions within the team.
This initiates an internal probe. The team breaks down during the internal review. Holden’s career, his relationships and his health are the most at-risk.
Season 2

Season 2 is all about changes at the BSU. Holden finally gets hold of himself after he meets Ed Kemper. Bill and Holden talk to the Son of Sam (aka David Berkowitz) while they solve the case to capture the BTK Killer.
He makes an astonishing confession about the BTK Killer. His adopted son, Bill, also witnesses a horrifying crime. Wendy takes the lead and conducts her first interview. Bill is facing a serious crisis in his personal life, which becomes glaring when Holden and he interview Charles Manson, the serial killer.
The FBI takes control and sends the team to Atlanta in order to investigate the disappearance and murder of children. Wendy begins to question her own methods.
Holden cannot limit the suspects he is investigating because of red tape. One suspect is the focus of the final investigation. He has a talent for using charged environments to his advantage. The BTK Killer case is not solved.
