The Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle Season 2 anime will continue Princess Sya’s story (Aurora Sya Lis Goodereste), as she attempts to get more “zz’s”, while also accidentally improving human/demon relations with Demon King Twilight and his army… When will Maoujou de Oyasumi season 2 be released?
The official Twitter account seemed to be teasing Sleepy Princess Season 2 on March 27, 2021. The official Twitter page released a new key visual showing the Demon Lord with his friends, surrounded by Princess Sya as well as a large number bear demons.
They tweeted, “Please keep an eye out for the development of Sleepy Princess at the Demon Castle as they continue to grow!”
The tweet just so happens to coincide with AnimeJapan 2020. It is possible that an announcement will be made.

The first season of the series was available for streaming on FUNimation Now, AnimeLab and Netflix Japan in Fall 2020. However, it is not available on Netflix U.S. The English dub of Sleepy Princess didn’t arrive until 2021. Kira Buckland portrayed Princess Syalis.
FUNimation’s English dub of Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle was released February 22, 2021. New episodes will be released over time. FUNimation has also revealed the Sleepy Princess of the Demon Castle Season 2 English dub.
Maoujou de Oyasumi Season 2 release dates
Studio Doga Kobo and any other company involved in the production of the anime have not confirmed the Maoujou de Oyasumi season 2 release date as of the last update. A sequel has not been announced.
This article will be updated once the news has been confirmed.
It’s possible to speculate as to when or if the Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle Season 2 premiere will take place.
The first week of Sleepy Princess Blu Ray disc sales was disappointing. Only 1,093 copies were sold. Maybe it will be a surprise hit. (Ba-Dum-Tss!)
The Sleepy Princess anime is a better choice than many of Doga Kobo’s other works. The last anime they produced that scored as high was New Game! and received a second season.
Popularity can bring financial success through streaming revenue, and so second seasons. But scheduling is the main problem. Schedule anime productions years in advance.
Studio Doga Kobo usually produces between three and five anime projects each year. They have already announced the 2021 singing-idol anime Selection Project and the adaptation of the A Romantic Comedy Where the Childhood Friend Absolutely Won’t Lose light novel series.
In an unspecified year, they will also adapt the manga My Senpai Is Annoying. The studio will adapt a story written by Hajime Shinagawa, Mobius Dust, in 2022.
The best case scenario is that the Sleepy Princess Season 2 anime production has already been planned. It could even be scheduled for 2022. Otherwise, expect a long wait for anime fans.
Comparing the manga Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle to the anime
The anime’s story is inspired by Kagiji Kumanomata’s Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle manga series. The Maoujou de Oyasumi manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from May 2016 to December 18, 2020.
VIZ Media published the official English translation of The Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle manga in North America in June 2018.
As of October 2020, the English Sleepy Princess manga had reached Volume 13. Volume 14 will be released on April 13, 2021 and Volume 15 is set for release on August 10, 2021.

Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle Season 2 Release Date: Maoujou De Oyasumi Season 2 Predictions
Inori Minase, Princess Sya’s voice actress, said that the story that started with the Demon Kings and the captive princess turned into the most terrifying princess and the best friends of the Demon Castle. It was a project that taught me how to interact with others and how to do gag acting. I still don’t get enough sleep and play, so I hope for another chance!”
Doga Kobo, a Japanese animation studio, produced the first season of the anime. It also produced the Ikebukuro West Gate Park animated series in the same 2020 timeline. The studio is most well-known for its adaptations of manga slice-of life comedies such as Asteroid in Love, What Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Loose?, and New Game!
They are, therefore, the perfect match for Sleep Princess Season 2. The majority of the staff have worked together previously for studio Doga Kobo.
The anime project’s first season was directed by Mitsue Yamazaki. He is most well-known for his work on How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Load? He is an episode director for Bleach, and his action skills are a result of that. The Bleach Season 17 release date has been set for 2021.
The series was composed by Yoshiko Nakamura, Re:Zero Season 2. Artist Ai Kikuchi (How heavy are the dumbbells you lift?, New Game!) The character designer was Yukari Hashimoto. Yukari Hashimoto, composer (How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? March Comes in Like A Lion), created the music for this series.
The theme music for Season 2 of Sleepy Princess in Demon Castle Season 2 OP and ED has yet to be announced.
The first season’s Sleepy Princess OP was called “Sleep!” A Good Night’s Rest! Syalist Life (Kaimin! Anmin! Syalist Seikatsu (“as performed by Inori Minase the Japanese voice actress for Princess Sya.
The director stated that the OP has more than 1,800 drawings. This was in a November 2020 interview. It’s quite crazy considering that episodes can sometimes reach 3,000-4,000.
Minase is also the voice of Rem, the demon maid in Re:Zero. Satomi Arai voiced the Demon Cat Stamp in Sleepy Princess Episode 2 and Beatrice from Re:Zero.
ORESAMA performed the ED, which was “Gimme!”
Here’s an 8-bit version.
The finale of the first season, Sleepy Princess at the Demon Castle Episode 12, was released on December 21, 2020 (December 22nd in Japan).

The anime episodes are prone to bounce around in the source material as it attempts to connect chapters on specific characters or topics. The light novel chapters of The Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina also bounced around.
Episode 5 jumpt to Chapter 37 to introduce Neo Alraune and other female warriors. Next, the chapters 18 and 28 about Harpy were reversed.
It made sense for Sleepy Princess Episode 11, Harpy’s plans to wear pajamas to Harpy’s party, to adapt Chapters 70. However, this was only after character developments led to the demons becoming closer to their “hostage” human. Without this, Demon Cleric wouldn’t have been able to take any actions.
It is odd that Episode 11 adapts the pajama party party but skips Chapter 71’s actual pajama parties. This was likely done so Cubey, the succubus, could practice being a bodydouble. Episode 12 follows.
Some character chapters were unfortunately skipped during the process. The Chapter 12 character Kukororo, the human bounty hunter, was removed completely, but it’s still a minor character.
Even the manga creator regretted that there weren’t enough episodes to show more important characters.
“I have run out of time!” People should read the manga original. There are currently 16 books and fan books,” tweeted Kagiji Kunomata. “There might be a lead role character in anime, but he or she is not featured too often because there are only 220 chapters. Huff…”
It’s not clear who the manga creator was referring too, but Poseidon’s introduction chapter was cut after Chapter 37 was adapted. It was not logical to revisit the chapter since Poseidon was constantly shown in large meetings. However, Sleepy Princess Season 2 should give Poseidon an episode that is based on Chapter 90.
Some characters were introduced before the manga. For example, the Princess-body-double/succubus Succyun (Cubey/Bussy) was introduced in Episode 8 during the dentist segment that adapted Chapter 58, but Succyun was originally introduced in Chapter 74 after it’s mentioned in Chapter 73 that the Princess worse Cubey’s outfit as a costume during Halloween.
Cubey was introduced earlier in the episode, and the finale, Sleepy In The Demon Castle Episode 12 ended with Cubey adapting Volume 7’s story arc. Certain elements were also taken from earlier Christmas-related chapters and adapted for the ending.
It is a great stopping point, as it focuses on the Princess’s return home at Christmas. The succubus also plays a central part. It serves as an ending, since it resets everything.
The good news? There are more than 200 chapters, so this stopping point is not a problem.
English-speaking anime fans can skip Chapter 85 and jump to Chapter 8 of Volume 7. It is still recommended that manga fans read the chapters skipped in the anime. However, Sleepy Princess Season 2 may adapt some chapters that were separate stories.
Sleepy Princess Season 2 spoilers (plot summary/synopsis).
Even though he was captured many years ago, the easy-to-lose hero can’t seem find his way back to the demon castle. The princess now feels that the castle of Demon King Twilight has become her home.
The anime skipped some quest-focused chapters and delved into the story of how relationships evolved to the present. Demons and humans can be friends, but it is openly discussed in Episode 11. Episode 11 asks: “Can humans and demonics be in love?”
Episode 12 saw the kingdom of Goodereste announce that there had been a major change in the war. The Princess addressed the kingdom of Goodereste and stated that she felt it was her duty as a facilitator between demons, humans. She also needed to remain in the demon castle.
The Princess is more concerned about her words about changing war’s nature than her actions. The Princess gives up the idea of killing everyone who knows her secret and engages in intensive tongue training (Quilladillo) with Majiro, the Spiny Hedgehog.
The Princess and Poseidon are forced to work together because they have a common enemy. They share a fear of injections of flu shots. The whole castle is now in need of vaccinations so the two run together to seek Hade’s assistance.
They are unsuccessful in avoiding each other, but the Princess finds herself in a difficult situation when she fails to get vaccinated on time. The Demon King Twilight is closer than he thought.

The Demon Castle is suffering from Princess Syalis’s extravagant lifestyle. The Demon King reduces Princess Syalis’s support so she can no longer live in the lavish lifestyle she has become accustomed to, and the princess will need to find alternative strategies to satisfy her extravagant needs.
The Demon King hires new staff to the castle, and everyone is embarrassed by their “hostage”, who runs wild all the time. How will the new demons react when they discover that the Scissors Demon is actually a frightening human girl?
The love hijinks finally pick up when Princess Sya, who is not interested in romance, discovers that she has a romantic admirer. The Princess must stop her jealousy-stricken suitor from becoming a demon.
The Demon Cleric fails to make a resurrection and finds himself in a relationship with a cute-looking demonic. The Demon Castle Super Summer Festival starts, and the Princess finds herself in a beauty contest… against demons dressed in drag!
Although it may be summer, things heat up when Twilight’s father (the former Demon King Midnight) calls. Although Princess Sya might not like the idea of becoming a Hero Dawner’s fiancee, in Chapter 122 she is mistakenly identified as Poseidon’s girlfriend… Only for Midnight to realize that Sya is Twilight!
