In a now-defunct Instagram video, he stated that “sadly, Truth Seekers won’t be returning for a new season.” “Truth Seekers was not renewed which is a huge kick in the stomach for me. It was a huge effort, our whole heart, soul and sometimes blood.
To not be able to come back is really disappointing for us. It is a shame. There were many wonderful ghost stories we could tell. Stories that will never be told. Thank you for watching the show. Your support is greatly appreciated. If you didn’t, how are you doing now? It seems like the show is over.

We see that Elton and Gus and Richard leave Truth Seekers at the end of the first season. We are happy that they thwarted Toynbee’s plan, but we are sad for Astrid’s death.
Later, David returns to Smyle and meets Jojo. Jojo is now dressed in a business suit, but their conversation reveals that they are both other-worldly beings who are also involved in an ongoing personal contest.
Jojo later admitted that Toynbee’s use was a mistake, but also sympathized with David’s loss and that Astrid had to leave.
David later agrees, and says that he wouldn’t like to be her right away. Astrid’s voice says hello, the picture behind David’s desk transforms into a human face when they leave.
