Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu 🐲 (ドラゴンボールＺゼット 超スーパーサイヤ伝でん説せつ, Doragon Bōru Zetto Sūpā Saiya Densetsu) is a video game developed by TOSE Software Co. Distributed by Bandai, it was released in Japan on January 25, 1992, for Nintendo’s Super Famicom console.

Super Saiya Densetsu is a remake that combines two of the previous games in the Gokuden series: Dragon Ball Z: Kyōshū! Saiya Jin and Dragon Ball Z II: Geki Shin Freeza!! but without the anime filler elements and movie characters that appeared in both video games.

Development

The story of the game follows The Saiyan 💪 and Namek/Frieza arcs, with various additions and edits to make the story fit within RPG guidelines. This includes the inclusion of multiple Saibaimen colors and recolors for Frieza and Ginyu Force members as common enemies.

Characters in this game

Some characters (in this order): Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Chaoz, two Namekian warriors (Maima, Tsumuri), Saiyans, and Captain Ginyu (through body swapping). Captain Ginyu allows the player to assume the body of any character. However, this will revert back to the original form at the end of the fighting.

These are the Bosses of the Game: Raditz, Saibaiman & Nappa, King Kai, Saiyans (can be fought before Frieza appears), Cui, Dodoria and Zarbon (in both forms). Guldo, Jeice and Burter can also fight together as a duo, as does Recoome. Depending on who is killed, he will leave and bring Ginyu. Frieza is saved several times. First, he escapes as a Saibaiman Clone. After defeating his second form, he escapes protected by the Ginyu Force. Frieza was randomly in his third form. During his fourth form, he “powers-up” to his maximum power. A Super Saiyan is a Super Saiyan who sacrifices an ally in order to make Son Goku Super Saiyan. The Super Saiyan then encounters the group after the closing credits.

Bulma and Master Roshi also provide rest and food while on Earth or Namek. Master Roshi is only present once to assist the players in their fight against Raditz. Few survivors Namekians will speak to you and provide you with information. Two goblins are also available on Namek to help you collect Dragon Spheres. You can move to The Guru’s Domain.🐲
