In MHA, Manami Aiba, also called La Brava, is a villain who is the lead as a pair in Gentle Criminal.

Appearance Manami Aiba MHA

Manami is a short young woman who has a big head and a round face in comparison to her body. She has pink hair, which is gathered into two long pigtails that are long enough to reach her hips. They are wide with a loose twitch at their top, and finer at the bottom, and a large tuft of hair protrudes outwards and is bent to the right.

The woman’s eyes are big, with large eyelashes, and dark circles as a result of a long period of depression. Her irises are pink and oval, and her pupils are hypnotic and have concentric circles in the eyes.

Manami’s outfit is elegant, with a big white bow around her neck, paired with gloves as well as an indigo shirt sporting large buttons, and frilly, long, inverted cuffs. Manami is wearing large white pants that make her legs appear larger.

Past

In the sixth grade, Manami Aiba wrote a long note in which she expressed her feelings towards a classmate she liked. The person she was with was able to read the letter; however, his reaction stunned Manami. While listening in on conversations between the boy and his friends, Manami realized that the young man thought she was a stalker and was making snarky remarks to her peers.

Devastated by the teasing and rejection, Manami stopped believing in the world and was stricken with depression.

So she lived the status of a recluse with no ambitions or dreams. She sat on the computer and thought about suicide. One morning, Manami saw one of Gentle’s videos, in which Gentle’s gentleman thief spoke of his desire to make a difference in the world. For Manami, this man was exactly what she needed to help her find purpose in her life once more.

Gentle Manami became Manami’s light, and the girl utilized her hacking skills to locate and connect with Gentle. She introduced herself as his most devoted admirer and promised to help him achieve his goals. In the beginning, Gentle didn’t want a weak girl to become an accomplice; however, she was hacker-like and willing to give up everything to help him.

Manami became more in love with Gentle and was afraid that Gentle might observe her dark circles around her eyes, which was a constant indication of her depressive state. One day, Danjuro suggested “La Brava” as a stage name to Manami and then showed her the new look she had with dark circles around her eyes, drawn by using a permanent ink marker.

This was among the most joyful moments of Manami’s life. Gentle had accepted Manami and had done everything possible to satisfy Manami’s needs and make her feel happy. Manami can’t remain without Gentle and is accepting her new position: La Brava will do everything to assist the villainous gentleman.

Cultural Festival Saga

When Gentle is robbing a shop, La Brava films it and then uploads it online. However, La Brava informs her supervisor the video isn’t getting the amount of views she was hoping for.

Then she and Gentle are involved in other robberies, and they discuss what happened; it was that Stain footage took away Gentle’s thunder. Brava then asks Gentle who his next target will be, and he responds that they are planning to take over Yuei High School in the course of The Cultural Festival. By doing this, Gentle will finally be the focus of all attention. A few days later, Gentle and La Brava determine the specifics of their plan for infiltrating Yuei.

When it comes time for the plan’s execution, two criminals leave for Yuei disguised. But, while they are on their way, they encounter one of the students who is aware of their motives after an altercation with Gentle and engages in a battle with him to stop the student from threatening the school.

Manami helps Gentle in the fight by keeping spectators away. He then spots the youngster Izuku Midorya, a boy who suffered serious injuries in the Sports Festival. While the initial fight has Gentle as the victor, Izuku manages to turn the battle around and, although it isn’t without struggle, defeated the criminals even with Manami trying to assist Gentle by using her quirk.

Then, Hound Dog and Ectoplasm arrive where the battle took place and take away La Brava and Gentle. Then, Izuku intervenes and lies to the two heroes by claiming that Gentle and La Brava were trying to play a prank on school children. This permits Gentle to be sentenced to a lighter sentence.

La Brava is brought to an arrest station where she is interviewed regarding the motive behind her actions. She then states that all she did was to help Gentle.
