Episode 6 of Money Heist Korea begins with a closer look at our Professor. He used to be a teacher whose main focus was on the economic effects of reunification. He was given a proposal by a member of the National Assembly, Kim Sangman, during one of his major talks. This is Woojin’s husband.

Did The Professor survive the car chase and escape?

The Professor attempts to escape police and a huge car chase ensues. The chase continues into the fields, and it’s not easy for a while. The Professor manages to escape, burning his car, and then slipping into the river. He swims downstream, and the officers flee.

In the meantime, we were able to see the moment when Chulwoo was about to fire on Tokyo. He fired on Tokyo, but it turned out that he didn’t fire. Berlin was the one who shot the man dead. Berlin had earlier choked Rio and broke free. They are all shocked when the others show up to see what has happened.

What is Woojin planning to do?

Woojin returns to the house to confront Cha about all the chaos that has occurred while she was out looking for this car. Cha confesses that he first suspected her when he saw how frustrated and angry she was. Woojin is told by Cha that the criminals may have initially targeted her. We know this to be true.

He also now knows that The Professor isn’t in the Mint, and that they care about public opinion – something she plans to exploit.

She will broadcast everything and make sure that all hostages are still alive. The Professor accepts her offer and allows Woojin to enter. The Professor claims that this is her way to “stabbing” them with the knife of public opinion.

How does the team prepare for hostage inspection?

The professor informs the team of his findings and tells them to be ready for a hostage inspection. It’s a very precarious situation, considering the gunshots and Chulwoo’s passing.

Precarious is a good word. Misun is cornered by the Mint Director, but Denver saves her. Youngmin won’t be hurt anymore. To further symbolize his gesture, she throws the necklace that he gave her to the ground.

The Mint is where the hostages receive briefings and are ready for the next stage. Anne tries to question the leaders, but Berlin arrives and admits that he has nothing left to lose.

What do Anne and Youngmin have in common?

Youngmin sees an opportunity to work with Anne and decides to write Woojin a message. Anne actually wrote the message on one of the banknotes.

Woojin arrives at the Mint and meets Berlin, who has his mask taken off. He even holds her hand. Each hostage is taken out one at a time.

Anne begins to cry when she is brought out and attempts to hand the note to the officer. But she is stopped before she can. Tokyo quickly identifies what Anne is doing and confronts her in a hallway.

What is Woojin’s plan to get rid of Berlin and the other members?

Woojin loses patience and all hostages are sent together. He wanted to capture it on camera so that he doesn’t have to control traffic. Anne immediately recognizes the opportunity and mentions that she has seen Chulwoo. Youngmin speaks out, as he always does.

Berlin finally brings up the fact that the police broke their promise. Woojin, however, swings public opinion by appealing to them to release all students as a compromise.

This is an important part of the operation and forces Berlin to make a major decision… Or does he? Chulwoo is still alive, and he was brought to the front of everyone’s shocked reactions. The group is actually concealing Chulwoo’s death. They are merely claiming that he is still alive. He was actually wearing a bulletproof vest all the time.

What has the Professor planned?

The Professor knew Woojin’s plans all along and used the whole operation to his advantage. They were able to remove Chulwoo from the scene using CCTV footage that was obtained anonymously and thereby expose him as a rebel agent who acted with hostility and ruined the carefully planned plan.

Berlin promises to the cameras that he will not let anyone die under his watch. The reporters spin this immediately in Berlin’s favor.

The headline read “Police use hostage as human shields revealed” and the public is outraged at the botched operation. The group also managed to reach the soil, so they will be out in three days.

Denver discovers that not everyone is filled with optimism and hope. Denver encourages Misun to be with a good man in the future… but Misun changes the rules and tells Denver she will quit the Mint. She then kisses Misun and they end up falling in love.

What’s the deal with Captain Cha?

Captain Cha has been fired because of the events with the Mint. He was removed from the case but he will continue to investigate – starting with Park Sunho. This is the real name of Professor. Cha says he has been suspicious of the man since he joined the task force. He plans to track him down by his own initiative.

Woojin is the Professor’s companion, and they have a drink together to unwind after a stressful few days. The pair walk home together after they have consumed soju bombs. The Professor tells her to relax, which is totally off-script. The Professor realizes that he is falling in love at this point.

What does episode 6 of Money Heist Korea look like?

Woojin checks her coat pocket, and finds a small piece of the Mint banknote inside. It turns out Anne had actually hidden it in her pocket before she was taken. This could be an important clue. She rushes back to the taskforce.

The Professor returns home, but Captain Cha is waiting outside.

The Episode Review

The interesting thing about this series is its tendency to deviate from the original Spanish series’ main script over time. This show has a few meta references that support this assertion, and it is stronger for it.

Even though there has been less attention to making money and smuggling it out, the other things are going well.

The majority of the show is faithful to the source material. However, the idea of a united Korea is a great one that works well within the context of the remake. Berlin was a great show and the highlight of this entire series. Park Hae-Soo delivered it with flair and charisma.
