In MHA, The Paranormal Liberation Front is a formidable Villain organization that was formed through the union between the Villain Union and the Superpowered Liberation Army. It is headed by Tomura Shigaraki with nine commanders.

STORY Paranormal Liberation Front

In the final days of New Advent, Re-Destro is defeated by Tomura Shigaraki and loses his legs. Tomura’s destructive nature and his newfound spiritual freedom give Re-Destro a new vision of “liberation”.

Trumpet attempts to use his Incitement to throw soldiers at Tomura, but Tomura’s simple stare is enough to paralyze them in terror, which causes Trumpet to be in a state of confusion. Re-Destro gives up his Army to Tomura and intends to make use of the resources to finance Detnerat, which is Re-Destro’s company.

Skeptic makes a photomontage that depicts the battle in Deika to alter the truth and promote their ideals. Re-Destro, at an underground meeting, introduces the Paranormal Liberation Front and its leader Tomura Shigaraki. Re-Destro claims that the young man is a liberated person and that it’s the will of Destro that directs the group.

The name chosen for the organization, conceived by Spinner and Re-Destro, is used to distinguish it from the word “Villain” as the Front includes all participants of both the Villain Union and the Paranormal Liberation Army.

FORCE Paranormal Liberation Front

The Front is composed of two of the most deadly criminal groups in Japan, which makes it a terrifying threat that can cause massive destruction.

The Paranormal Liberation Front is led by 10 villains: the former Union participants who won the war in Deika together with their Liberation Army, and the remaining members from The Army who surrendered and joined the Front. These former commanders of the Army have great industrial and political power, making them more powerful and effective. At the helm of the Front is the young Union leader, Tomura Shigaraki.

The ten most powerful members are all members who were part of the Liberation Army, those who were a part of the Army at the time of Destro. Following the victory of the Union over Deika, Gigantomachia, the older genetically modified bodyguard of All For One, also recognized and accepted Tomura as its master in the Front and became a formidable and highly effective secret weapon for the organization. A variety of Pro Heroes sympathize with and help the Front, and the group can always count on backing by the Front’s “Doctor”: Kyudai Garaki who, hidden behind the scenes, builds forces of powerful Nomu to support the Front.

Hawks is genuinely worried about the power of the Front, as he believes using the power of High-End Nomu and a well-constructed strategy to defeat the Front could destroy the social order created by Heroes around the world. That’s why Hawks was drafted into the Front as an infiltrator in order to discover the details of the Front’s plans and then report their plans to the Heroes. Endeavor is also frightened of the Front’s strength and has been training his students in preparation for a possible conflict.

The Front was struck hard by the death of Twice, a formidable force because of his duplication capabilities.

Following the Paranormal Liberation War, the group caused a calamity for the Heroes despite suffering numerous wounds. 16,929 members were detained, as well as Commanders Mr. Compress, Trumpet, Re-Destro, Geten, and other significant members like Gigantomachia, Kyudai Garaki, and the Assistant Slidin’Go. Their bases across Japan were sacked and, at present, the Front has a total of 83,071 members. Nomu’s army was also devastated, with only 7 Near High-End class members remaining.
