While the money laundering may never stop, Ozark has stopped it for now. The fourth season of Netflix’s hit crime drama series, Ozark, brought an end to the Byrde family’s violent and destructive path that traveled through low-rent motels, strip clubs and funeral homes, FBI cooperation and, of course, Mexican drug cartels. While some will be happy, others will be angry, the ending fits the dark worldview that the show has always held.

Stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney got to witness their characters’ emotional arcs in the Season Finale. These beats were a fitting tribute to the adventures they have all taken.

Is the show going to continue? It remains to be seen. However, Season 4 was always intended as the final season. A conclusion that would make sense. Is this the right ending? Sure. Is it a sign that the show won’t be revived? It’s possible. Who knows? We don’t know if it is on the table.

Season 5 of Ozark

Ozark is not one of my favorite shows. It is. I have listened to Ruth Langmore TikTok more times than I care to admit. What’s the point of all this double-crossing and murder, money-laundering, more murder? Part One of the final season’s finale was the subject of my review. Ozark is, if you view it through Wendy Byrde’s third glass, about who we are at the end of the thousandth fib. Deceit changes us. If you are looking for evidence of the series’ fatality, look no further than Wendy murdering her brother. 

If we are desperate enough, we can believe everything we say, no matter how it is, and later, what we do. Ozark splattered this fundamental truth about ourselves onto four fantastic seasons. It gave us enough drama, anxiety and Julia Garner-provided comedy that it became a really enjoyable series.

We’ve finally reached the end. This is the end. Netflix’s Season Four, Part Two premiered on Friday. It brought the end to the Byrde family story. The ending completely changed my perception of the series, I must say.

Let’s first recap the last moments of Ozark. What’s the short version? It’s something you hate to think about, but the Langmore curse really is. Clare Shaw tells Camila Navarro at the Byrde Family Gala For Midwestern Political Domination that Ruth Langmore murdered Javi. Phew. Phew. It’s Ozark’s most heartbreaking moment. It was also the most heartbreaking since Buddy’s death. Mel Sattem greets the Byrdes when they return home for the night.

He holds the goat cookie jar with Ben’s ashes in it, which is just as creepy and disturbing as any other time we have seen it. Sattem informs the family that they are going to be down. Who answers the phone? Jonah, who shoots and cocks a gun, just as the finale cuts into black. Let’s assume Jonah killed Sattem for the purpose of this deep dive into the meaning behind that finale. (For the sake of argument, the Ozark fandom may have other theories.)

Now let me tell you a tale. It’s not the best way to get to the end, but bear with me. During my freshman year at college, I brought a friend with me. One of the kids I met in college was skinny and unshaven. He wore the same white T-shirt everywhere. He was cool, I thought. He would arrive at every party with a fifth of whiskey and three women.

 I couldn’t believe my eyes when he smiled at me like a car salesman and realized he was full of shit. My mom, however, did. He left the room and my mom said, “I don’t like him.” I countered that the boy who drank and had girls was a good person. You might like him if he changes. She said, “People don’t change.” “You might change how you look and act, but fundamentally–people stay the same.”

Ozark sees the world as my mom does. Ozark always suggests that Marty Byrde may change. If you look back at almost everything Marty Byrde said or did over the course of the series, Ozark seems to hint at this. Omar will be executed by him, and then he’ll return to his family. Marty threatens Ruth but then he’ll return to the cuddly mentor that he always was! Continue down the list. Wendy, Charlotte, Jonah. All of them do unimaginable things in the name of the greater good.

 Ozark knows we’ll persevere through it all and believe that the Byrdes are to blame. Why? We all know one thing: we want people to change. We want to see people change. Ozark could have written the ending so that one Byrde could find redemption. But it didn’t. There is a reason.

Ozark wants to make it clear that we are not just the same at our core, but also that evil triumphs. Yes, there are good people out there. There are also bad people. Evil wins when you put one against the other. At least that’s how Ozark sees it. (I hate to say it, but if you take a look at the planet now, there are plenty of examples to support Ozark’s worldview. It wasn’t what we wanted, but it was the end that was most fitting for the adventure that we had with the series.

The one who was in college with the kid? He heard he was beaten up and had an impromptu fight with his roommate. Then he left school. He was never heard from again.

Critics have always praised Ozark Season 5’s story, acting, cinematography and everything else. It received an 8.3 rating on IMDb. The story centers on a financial advisor who gets himself and his family into a money-laundering scam.

They moved to the Missouri Ozarks after leaving Chicago, and have been committing the crime ever since. Bill Dubuque, Mark Williams and others created the series. Jason Bateman, Amanda Marsalis and many other outstanding directors have been part of the series. Alik Sakharov, among many other prominent personalities, is also included. We were invited to host various episodes of this masterpiece.

Each episode is 51-80 minutes long and delivers consistent performances on Netflix.

The fourth season was extremely intense. It is clear that Navarro wants to be released and become the cartel boss as soon as possible. Despite Byrde’s insistence, Jonah refused to go back to Chicago.

Javier kills Darlene & Wyatt, however. Ruth finds the body and grabs her shotgun to bring Marty and Wendy face-to-face. Marty insists that Javi cannot be touched, but Ruth is contemplating killing him to stop her actions.

The second part of Season 4 will soon be available on the same platform. The future plot of Season 5 will also be revealed to the public once the season is over. Will it end the series? We are now waiting for the end.

Ozark Season 5 Release date

According to reports, it will be the last season of the TV series Ozark. Ozark Season 4 Part 2 is set to be available on Netflix in April 2022. Only a few more months have passed since the premiere.

Ozark’s fifth season will be shown via a new medium. We will have to wait and see what happens.

You can stream the third season of Ozark on Netflix starting March 27, 2020. Ozark Season 1 was available on Netflix from January 21st, 2022. According to the company, Ozark Season 2 will be available on April 29, 2022. This page will be updated as soon as more information is available about Ozark’s fifth series’ release date.

Ozark season 5 Trailer

On March 29, 2022, Netflix released a teaser trailer for Ozark Season 4 Part 2. Also known as Ozark Season 4. The trailer is dark, deep and profound. Although the trailer contains some disturbing elements, Ruth’s assassination attempt caught everyone off guard. It’s not clear if it is Ruthian.

This teaser features intense exchanges between Marty, Wendy and others. The teaser suggests that Wendy is stronger this time and is determined to win.

Why an Ozark Season 5

In June 2020, it was announced that the show would return for a fourth and final season. It will consist of 14 episodes divided into two parts.

Chris Mundy, the showrunner at the time, stated: “We’re so glad Netflix recognized the importance of giving Ozark additional time to end the Byrdes saga right.”

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Mundy has explained that Netflix decides when the show ends, but that he had given advance notice to the streaming service so that he could close the deal.

It seems that the final decision to end the series with four seasons was mutually advantageous. Mundy explained that she had been speaking to the producers about how they would end the show in five seasons. They weren’t sure if five or four was the best option. Netflix, however, came up with the idea of four seasons in a longer order. The idea being that it would eventually split.

“My gut feeling says that they appreciate the fact that things take a certain amount of time and are creatively efficient. Creatively, I know that it didn’t go beyond five for us. We knew where we wanted it to end, at least emotionally. We didn’t know the details of how it would work. In an interview with Collider, Bateman revealed that the show’s third and final season had been confirmed. Bateman also stated that there was always a presumed area of three, four, or five seasons.

Bateman explained that he didn’t want to “jump the shark” but rather stated that Marty’s intelligence and Wendy’s rate of escalation in danger, “they’re either going be killed or in jail.”

Bateman stated, “But then you have to flatten that pitch so you don’t end up jumping the shark.”

We have it. We won’t be returning back to the Ozarks for more chaos and crime. It appears that we have a combination of creative decision-making and Netflix’s final word.

Julia Garner, who played Ruth Langmore on the series, spoke out about how difficult it was to end the series.

Garner stated, “It’s really sweet. It’s probably the best way to end on an artistic note. It’s not something you want to do. Personally and selfishly, this show could be shot until I’m 70.”

Garner described the cast and crew as a real “family” and said, “It was a wonderful experience. It was an incredible personal experience. Because I have this Ozark standard, it makes it difficult to be on other sets in certain ways.”
