Behind Every Star Season 1 Review

Call My Agent is an excellent adaptation. There are no surprises after watching it. However, it’s a solid transfer to Asia. It’s rare to see a male character as campy and raunchy as the Korean Herve. However, this genre fits in well with Kdramedy. However, it is worth noting that the lesbian character in this version has been made a man-whore.

Method Entertainment’s central Seoul corridors are always bustling with activity. Its clients are the stars of the country, and they control their image and work. Celebrity agents, managers, and directors often have to navigate the complexities, insecurities, and uncertainties that are part of the entertainment industry.

We are drawn into the lives of its employees as soon as we see Cho Yeo-jeong, one of South Korea’s biggest stars, lose out to Quentin Tarantino because she is too old. The show cleverly ties in the topic of ageing actresses as well as the costs of vanity. There are many other parts to the episode, but Yeo-jeong’s escape from a major Hollywood production is the main focus of the story.

Behind Every Star Season 1 Review

Baek Seungryong and Lee Chan, his writers, give us everyday characters with unique personalities that we can identify with. These characters have flaws that are relatable and we as an audience quickly pick our favorites, disseminate some and root for others. It’s easygoing, lighthearted approach makes the show a fascinating watch.

The show effortlessly portrays office issues such as politics, one-upmanship and hiring and firing. The production values and set are lively and well-designed for a company dealing with people in showbiz.

Seo Hyun-woo is the star of the cast as Kim Jung-don, a confused, good-hearted professional who struggles to find the right way to tell his client the bad news. The rest of the cast is efficient and it’s easy to see how some characters will be more prominent in future episodes.
