The anime is inspired by a light novel that was written by Fujino Omori. The animation production is handled by J.C.Staff with direction by Hideki Tachibana. The light novel comprises 17 volumes, released on January 15th, 2013, and the manga contains 12 volumes. The manga was released on August 2, 2013.
What’s Happened So Far in DanMachi Season 3
DanMachi Season 3 got a major overhaul in nearly every aspect possible: the characters, the music, as well as the story. It was much superior to Season 2, which took a rather boring path that was not very appealing.

The incident has put Bell’s name into the dust before the locals and everyone else. Their once beloved hero has been gone to dust.
The character development of Season 3 is truly something. We get to see the debut of Xenos (the speaking monsters) and Bell gradually maturing and getting to the point where Bell develops into an actual hero, not just fighting every episode. Bell experiences a rebirth related to his past fears (not ruining the story for those that haven’t yet watched it) and then slowly progresses throughout the episodes to become the hero he hoped to be. Season 3 ended in a thrilling finale which leaves plenty of room for season 4 to carry the story.

J.C.Staff has been involved in the 3 Seasons of DanMachi. Following the conclusion of Season 3, they worked on a variety of other projects, but the most notable ones were Prison School, One-Punch Man Season 2 (2019), Shokugeki No Souma, Shimoneta, Date a Live 3, and Taboo Tattoo, and their latest projects include Gokushufudou (2021) along with The Duke Of Death And His Maid (2021).
