In Chainsaw Man, Pochita is known as The Chainsaw Devil who symbolizes the terror of chainsaws. He was the first Chainsaw Man prior to becoming Denji’s heart.

Near-death State

After vanishing from his fight in the battle with Four Horsemen and Weapon Devils, Pochita is reduced to a “near-death state”. The state he is in shows him to be a tiny orange canine-like devil, with an appendage that resembles a chainsaw protruding from the center of his head. Handles appear from his body, allowing him to use them as a chainsaw. The long tail is in the form of a chainsaw’s pull cord.

His real devil appearance is a massive humanoid having four arms, and with a chainsaw sticking out from each. There is a third chainsaw coming from the top of his head. This is similar to Denji’s hybrid appearance. A tummy that’s still attached with his stomach tied around his neck, which resembles a collar or scarf.

Hybrid

After signing a contract with Denji, Pochita assimilates himself into him, joining his heart, becoming part of Denji’s body, creating an ethereal form. This lets Denji transform into Chainsaw Man by pulling the chainsaw cord in his chest. In this condition, Pochita is smaller, has lost the chainsaw that is on his head, as well as all of his attachments, including the handles and blood vessels that are connected to his body. Personality Pochita Chainsaw Man

Pochita displays a more unpredictable character when in his demon form, as demonstrated when he murders any who showed even a tiny bit of hostility towards him at the Burger joint. He later tells Denji that he had always dreamt of being hugged but his strength prevented him from doing so and implying that his killing rampage at the burger joint was an accident due to his inability to regulate his aggression towards others.

He also appears to be able to answer the requests for aid from humans and devils alike, as evidenced by the fact that he was able to save Makima as well as Kobeni from the abysmal situations they were in, however, he brutally attacked Kobeni after completing his mission.
