Saitama vs Whis. Every once in a while, series like Dragon Ball and One Punch Man come up with characters that are so strong that they’re capable of destroying a large chunk of characters from the entire shonen genre.
In this case, characters like Goku, Zeno, Whis, and Saitama are constantly compared because they have managed to do some of the most outrageous things, like destroying planetary bodies.
Saitama vs Goku from Dragon Ball has been the topic of discussion for years, and it doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon. However, some One Punch Man and Dragon Ball fans have been wondering about the outcome of a hypothetical battle involving Whis and the Caped Baldy.
Let’s look at some of their feats and potential to understand who the winner of this battle would be.
Comparing the characters’ Personality And Feats from One Punch Man and Dragon Ball
Before we get into this comparison, it is essential to understand that it is nearly impossible to determine a winner simply by comparing their feats. This is because the rules governing each series’ universes/multiverses are quite different.
Another important thing to remember is that One Punch Man is a gag anime and manga series, which translates to numerous elements diverting from logic and the rules governing the One Punch Man universe. Therefore, it is difficult to accurately determine this hypothetical fight’s winner.
Who are Whis ?
Whis, an Angel, is shown to be a companion of the God of Destruction (God Of Destruction) in Universe 7, Beerus. Whis is stronger than Vegeta or Goku. Even though Whis only played a minor role in Dragon Ball Super Broly, his one-handed holding motion made fans curious about Whis’ true abilities.
Whis is never seen fighting in the Dragon Ball Super series unless he’s in training. Whis is subject to the Angels’ rules, which prohibit him from fighting against anyone or interfering in matters that could change the destiny of an individual or the universe.
Many fans were intrigued by the strength of one Grand Priest’s child. Whis was trained by Goku and now Whis is a mentor to Goku in the Ultra Instinct technique.
How Strong Is Whis ?
When Whis is training Beerus, the series often shows his physical capabilities. Beerus confessed that Whis was stronger than him, based on his confession to the God of Destruction. This fact shows that Universe 7’s Angel is a powerful force and deserves our attention.
This is also a reason why Vegeta and Goku may not be able surpass Beerus’ strength. Even though Goku, with his Ultra Instinct power, is capable of challenging Beerus, Vegeta and Goku will not be able win against Whis.
As we mentioned, Whis is stronger than Broly and Beerus in Dragon Ball Super Broly. Whis is stronger than Broly or Beerus, which confirms that he’s the strongest character in Universe 7. Whis is not the strongest character, however.
Zeno, a Dragon Ball Super-class god, is the only character with a confirmed power level greater than Whis. This figure is the Grand Priest, who is the father of all the Angels. Goku is told by Whis that his power is not greater than that of the Grand Priest.
Goku is curious to see the Grand Priest use his powers. But Whis warns him not to challenge him. We saw some of Whis’ abilities in the Broly film, as well as training to fight Vegeta or Goku. Broly blames Frieza for Broly’s anger and loss of control over the film. Paragus was killed by Frieza.
Broly attacks Whis and anyone else around him, causing him to lose control. Piccolo and Goku teach Vegeta the Fusion Dance, so that they can create Gogeta to stop Broly. Whis was enough to stop Broly, rendering him powerless. The Legendary Super Saiyan couldn’t even land one blow at Broly.
Whis seemed to be able to guess where his punch was going. Also, the film shows how Whis can sense Instant Transmission from Gogeta. Then, he changes his position. Fans were divided over the potential power of Whis.
It was a sign that Whis had reached the highest level Ultra Instinct, allowing him to sense people teleporting around. Or his cosmic sense, which then detected Gogeta’s Instant Transmission. This enabled him to dodge quickly and anticipate Gogeta’s arrival.
It is unknown if there is a fighter that is stronger than Whis or can defeat Whis. Whis claims that the Grand Priest is one the strongest fighters across all twelve Universes. He did not reveal the identities of the four other fighters.
Whis may have considered himself to be one of the strongest fighters. If Whis was not able to defeat him in battle, then there were four other beings who could – and it wasn’t Beerus nor another God of Destruction. Vados, the God of Destruction Universe 6, is the Angel of Champa. He is believed to have the same power.
Whis admitted in the Universe 6 Saga that Vados was stronger than Whis. Whis, however, notes that this happened many years ago. He explained that their current power level was the exact same. Whis is only threatened by a handful of characters, but that is not what is certain.
Where is Saitama’s Power Source?
Genos, Saitama’s student in the anime, asked him about the source of his power. He answers by giving unbelievable and decent answers that are unmatched by his power level. Saitama claims that he gained immense strength through 100 push-ups and 100 squats. He also ran 10 km daily for almost a year. Genos is shocked to hear this, and doubts Saitama’s claims that it’s not stressful.
Saitama, however, refuses to change his stance and attributes the hair loss to his intense workout routine. Genos concludes that Saitama doesn’t know where his power came from.
One Punch Man is an intriguing series because of Saitama’s power. His origins are still unknown. Saitama performed remarkable feats in anime and manga, attracting the attention of many. There are many theories as to the origin of Saitama’s strength. Some are derived from the characters in the comedy series, while others are based on fan speculations.
Saitama was first depicted as a monster by Dr. Genus in Chapter 88 of One Punch Man manga. He is a genius scientist and a notable antagonist from the House of Evolution. Dr. Genus said that there is an artificial limit that prevents humans from becoming stronger than a certain level. It was called the “Limiter” by Dr. Genus. He said that God placed the limiter on humanity to prevent them from entering “the realm in which we lose all purpose or reason.”
Is Saitama’s Power From God?
A second interesting theory about the source of Saitama’s power is God. It is clear that superpowers can be linked with a divine source in One Punch Man. Homeless Emperor is a prime example. He is one of the leading forces in the Monster Association.
Although Homeless Emperor does not have any monster features, he has extraordinary abilities in energy manipulation and energy projection. When he attempted suicide, he claims that God gave him his abilities. His divine mission now is to eradicate all human aspects from the Earth.
This theory is supported by the fact that Oculette, Flashy Flash and Saitama, all members of Monster Association, were able to communicate with a divine being via a cube. If they passed his test, God offered these characters the chance to have greater powers.
They declined the offer and Blast, the number one S-Class hero, arrived. God recognized him, and Blast stated that he knew God and was currently searching for superpower-rich cubes. A glimpse into Tatsumaki’s childhood is revealed, which shows how Blast came into contact with the cube.
According to the God theory, Saitama’s immense strength was a result of coming in contact with one or more divine cubes. It is possible that Saitama acquired this power by accident. This would explain why he doesn’t agree with the God-praised views of humanity espoused by Homeless Emperor or Vaccine Man.
Saitama’s strength is unaffected throughout the series. Regardless of many theories about the source of his strength, it seems unlikely that the truth would soon be revealed. It won’t surprise if Saitama’s secrets are kept secret because the series is based upon an unusual storyline.
Whis’ Feats
Whis is an angel and the attendant of Beerus, the God Of Destruction of Universe 7. He is also one of the strongest characters of the Dragon Ball. It is difficult to keep a character such as Beerus under control. Beerus is so powerful that he can sneeze on planets. But, Whis beat Beerus with just one move, which puts him at least on a universal/multiversal levelin the Dragon Ball series.
Whis may be laid back, but he is not afraid to intervene when necessary. Whis also played with Ultra Instinct Goku. Vegeta, Goku tried to hit Whis with punches. But when they did, Whis blocked them with his index finger and his little fingers. Whis is also known to be the fastest being in Universe 7. This allows him to move fast and avoid his opponents’ attacks.
Saitama’s Feats
Saitama is a character with unlimited potential and continuous growth. Garou was Garou’s opponent. He understood the flow and power of all energies. Saitama almost destroyed Jupiter using his Serious Sneeze. The Caped Baldy was also able to travel back in history to save many people from the radiation caused by Garou.
Saitama’s speed was impressive, despite the fact that Garou generated hyperspace gates and was an ex-Hero hunter. Saitama’s endurance, which he was able withstand during the fight, is also top-notch.

Saitama vs Whis : Conclusion
Whis is clearly more powerful than Saitama, and would defeat Saitama in his current condition. Fans often argue that Saitama’s potential is limitless and that he is always growing.
However, it is not possible to predict the time it will take Saitama for Whis to reach his level. If the manga continues, there is a chance that Saitama might surpass Whis. Whis is clear the winner of this battle.
