Karolina wanders through the corridors and hallucinates, this time seeing Zofia, Second Chance’s gang, following her. Janek comes to help the girl and calm her down. Karolina finds comfort in Janek, especially after she discovers that he is the one who brought Karolina to the hospital.

The plot thickens and Karolina is approached by a grieving Father. He thanked her for being kind to Ignacy and recalled how they used to disagree about music. Karolina’s eyes grow wide and her stomach knots as he passes a photo to her. This kid is actually Szymon. He was also involved in the accident just four weeks before.

Janina Hass is who?

This reality is a different one, and Karolina is struggling to figure out who she is and what it all means. When she wakes up, she finds herself back at the hospital. It’s just a short dream sequence that leads to Magda, her next clue. Karolina is given a clue by her singing, as she’s already there.

Karolina then searches online for Janina Hass. Karolina sneaks into Janina’s audition to hear her sing out of tune. This is not the orchestral bliss of the dream. Magda talks to Karolina privately, though, and hands over Second Chance, a book that seems to contain the clues she is looking for.

Karolina discovers in the book that the house described in Second Chance is the same one as the one she has read. This house is Professor Tanatowski’s family home and it is very real. She is a neurologist and, allegedly, a psychic.

Janek agrees that he will drive her there with Patrycja following. They stop at a station on the way that matches Karolina’s visions. The pair eventually reach the Professor’s house to question him.

Ariela is who?

Karolina and the Professor sit down to talk about the gravesite. This is the gravesite of Aniela Tanatowski, who died in this place. It’s actually Aniela Tanatowski, not Ariela.

The Professor has also approved the use of a portion of the facility for private nursery purposes. This is done to help children develop their talents before they become adults. This supports the theory that Zofia is secretly using this area of the grounds for her bizarre therapy sessions.

Ariela sprints to her mother right on time. In this reality, she is Edyta’s daughter but appears to recognize Karolina. It seems that she sometimes slips into the “nursery”, as she is able to see our protagonist’s face.

Adam, who are you? Is he able to remember Karolina’s name?

Karolina, a student, notices Clair De Luna being re-played by Adam. He takes off his shoes, just as she did at Second Chance, and watches as Clair De Luna plays beautifully. He effortlessly strokes the keys and hits the right tempo.

Karolina approaches Adam after the show and gives him a hug. He is stunned and reveals that his name isn’t Adam. It’s Xavier. He can’t recall her, but as he walks away, Piotr appears and warns Karolina.

Piotr, Adam’s father, turned out to be the truth. This is why he was so interested in the boy during Second Chance therapy sessions. Although Karolina’s visions of the police station and gas station are vivid, everything around them is very real.

What’s the deal with Zofia?

Karolina calls her Mother back home and tells her that Zofia has brought in a psychologist to assist. Karolina’s bedroom is where she finds her mother and confirms all of the above. He has also been deliberately drugged in order to forget what happened at Second Chance.

This machine, we have been witnessing, apparently steals the talent of these children. These details are not clear so please share your thoughts in the comments. Zofia says cryptically that all this is for a better future, whatever that may mean.

Zofia offers her help to retrieve Karolina’s talent and reveals that she is no longer employed at the company. This could explain why she is now a psychologist. Karolina, Pawel and other prisoners in Second Chance are offered the chance to work with Zofia.
