Simon and Camila meet, and they feel a mutual attraction. Simon’s children also feel it. Camila is hiding something very serious, and the truth will only reveal their true selves. The Marked Heart is a captivating story about a woman who inherits an organ from a stranger. Instead of accepting the new body, the heart begins to move toward its past life instead of accepting it.

The Marked Heart’ Season 1 Plot

A congenital heart defect called cardiomyopathy can cause sensitive conditions such as cardiomyopathy. The heart is not able to pump blood properly, causing it to be called cardiomyopathy. This can cause weakness, weariness, and shortness of breath. Camila, our protagonist, was born with this disability. After photographing the Marathon, Camila is late to a wedding. Her soon-to-be husband Zacarias is waiting for her at the altar. She then runs home to get ready. Zac rushes her into the hospital after she falls at the altar. The doctor immediately orders a heart transplant.

Because of her delicate and challenging condition, Zacarias negotiated an arrangement with an organized crime organization to illegally acquire a heart. Sarmiento is the leader of the group. He works with three doctors. All doctors are involved in this group, including Drs. Robles, Carrasco, and Montejo. Mariachi, Garabato’s attaché, oversees all activities. Camila’s health improves and she is able to return home. Zacarias calls Camila the next night to inform her that he has a new heart. She is shocked and goes through the surgery, afraid she will not wake up the next day.

She feels well for the moment after the transplant. She is breathing normally and all her vital statistics are correct. She goes home to resume her photography career. She is more interested in the donor the next day and starts asking questions. People say asking these questions can be risky because the person with the heart could come back to the donor’s life and take their identity. This is also why they do not reveal the names and addresses of their donors. Camila experiences terrible nightmares, which cause her to shake every time she wakes up. It almost seems like it is taking over her life.

After Alvaro, her office assistant, informs her that she can find another way to find out, she insists. Alvaro attempts to bribe Karla, the surgeon assistant who helped Carrasco. Carrasco discovers the truth and warns Zac not to go any further. Camila confides her fears to Tata, her close friend, when Alvaro tells her he can’t take it any further. Tata suggests that Camila see a seer and do an Ayahuasca ritual in order to understand her dreams.

During the ceremony, Camila has her first encounter with the astral realm. She begins to communicate with her consciousness about the reasons her body is so strong. Camila hears about a woman who had suffered through these dreams and visions. She is then told that her heart is not hers. Camila is unconscious after the ritual and wakes up in Tata’s vehicle. Zacarias arrives at Tata’s hospital to rescue her. He loses his cool, but Camila tells Tata to calm down, because it was her idea. Zacarias’ anxiety levels start to rise.

After Camila is given the new heart, her perception of Zacarias changes and she becomes distant from him. She snaps a picture of Simon Duque at a concert she attends. After she begins to talk to him, they become friends. As they bond, Camila experiences a deep sense of love and passion for Simon. Simon is open to getting to know Camila because he sees it as an opportunity for him to continue his life after the tragic loss of his wife. He will never forget her.

‘The Marked Heart’ Season 1 Ending Explained

Camila is unable to stand the nightmares that she has been experiencing. She begins to take more action after her consciousness changes. She realizes it is past her time to find out more about Valeria’s photo. Although she has not yet discovered her name, the sight is very familiar. After meeting Simon, she invites Simon to visit her exhibit. He takes a great photograph of Valeria running the Marathon at the exhibit’s finish line. Camila is immediately informed by him that he has a photograph he would like to have before anyone else. She is surprised by her immediate attachment to the photo, but she accepts it.

After Simon invites Camila to his pizzeria, Camila learns to make and cook pizzas. Simon informs Camila that his wife has suffered a terrible loss. Slowly she realizes it could be Simon’s wife’s heart that is triggering intense feelings of love. Because Valeria’s heart wants to reach out to her husband, she has no control.

Camila’s dreams aren’t only for her, but also Simon and his son. Lucas wets his bed and Simon has intense dreams. It is not known to everyone that there is a connection. Zacarias develops fear of water and Camila’s dreams mirror those of Camila. Camila finds herself drawn to the lake, where Valeria is found dead. Simon still seeks answers about his wife’s murder. Camila hears him tell Camila that he’s growing more impatient to find out the truth about his wife. He starts to believe in Inspector Renteria’s investigation.

Simon sets out on a dangerous path when he decides to pursue the organized crime unit. He is forced to get into a van, and then he is beaten up for his desperation. He attempts to find a nurse who assisted him in the operation again. Renteria helps him locate a way to contact a doctor. After Valeria’s postmortem, they find out that Valeria was actually pregnant. His wife and unborn child have made him even more angry. He locates Karla, the nurse who assisted in the procedure to remove his wife’s heart. However, she is not able to be protected by Sarmiento’s men without the assistance of the police.

Simon slowly reveals all he knows to Valeria’s brother-in-law, and Valeria’s sister. Valeria occasionally looks after the children while Simon is looking for Sarmiento’s men. Simon is spooked when Karla mentions that a doctor may have treated Valeria. Simon is careful to watch him after he has learned his name. Samantha, Simon’s teenage daughter, is struggling to find a positive outlet for her grief. After he returns from the hospital, she meets Tomas, who is a sweet man. Tomas is in a bad relationship with Mariachi’s men. These men attempt to get Tomas to pay them back but their threats backfire. Tomas’s grandfather starts a shootout at Tomas’s home while Samantha is there with Tomas. Samantha kills Rojo, one of Mariachi’s men. She runs home terrified.

Camila is conscious of the truth, but she is unable to inform Simon. Because she is experiencing unbearable pain, she holds her tongue. Valeria seems to be screaming through Camila. Everyone is only now starting to notice. Camila, with the assistance of a hacker, confirms that Zacarias is behind this whole plan and selects Valeria to be her donor candidate.

Camila’s relationship to Zac is in decline and it is becoming difficult for her to be close to him. Sarmiento quickly and forcefully enters Zacarias’ life, demanding that his organization is recognized by Braulio Cardenas, a potential presidential candidate. Zac tries his best to delay the inevitable, but Sarmiento is elected to the party after Cardenas wins.

Sarmiento and Camila have formed a dialogue at the party. Camila is suspicious of him. Simon disguises himself to get to Mariachi’s group at the end of the season. He tells them he is searching for work and wants to join his group. Simon is short on time but understands the importance of patience. Simon, disguised as Mariachi, is welcomed to the group and starts performing strange chores.

Camila attempts to tell Simon that they won’t be seeing each other when she returns home after a long period due to Zacarias’ persistent suspicions of her being unfaithful. But the truth is, she and he want each other more than anything. Simon and Camila indulge in a moment in the shower at Simon’s house. Then, something happens. Simon notices Camila’s scar and asks Camila about her heart transplant. Camila nearly faints when Simon asks. He rushes her into the hospital and informs the doctor that Camila’s body is being rejected by her heart. His whole world begins to spin.

Garabato, Mariachi’s right-hand man, is causing serious problems for Tomas. Garabato and his men tie him up with a rope and hang him off the ceiling. They ask that Tomas summon Garabato to extract his lover’s liver. Tomas finally calls after much physical pain, but she shouts that she must get away at the end of the conversation. Sam is informed by this that something is wrong with Tomas, and she must intervene.

Tomas hangs from the rope, his hands crossed over his head. Simon, however, is trying to convince Renteria that Camila might have Valeria’s heart. But no one has proof. Realizing that Camila isn’t at home, Zac rushes to Simon’s to check. He knows she is a frequent visitor, and he is also curious about her affair with Simon. Sam informs Zac that Camila has been admitted to the hospital. Simon approaches Zacarias at the hospital and asks him all the questions he can about his wife’s heart. He also wants to know how Valeria’s heart got into Camila.

Simon remains obligated to Mariachi. He must therefore resume his duties. Sarmiento arrives on the scene and instructs his men about a new operation. However, only after the blood of new donors has been tested. Simon also records the encounter on his smartphone using a video camera. Zacarias is also present. He is surprised to see Samantha with Tomas. Tomas, Samantha, and their boyfriend Tomas were trying to escape when Sam’s pizza delivery vehicle became stuck. They fell off the scooter, but Garabato found them.

Simon’s resolve is put to the test when he realizes the situation is much more dire than he anticipated and must act quickly. He frees Tomas and they prepare to pursue Mariachi and Garabato when he has the chance. Renteria orders the cops to arrive and Sarmiento’s men get arrested after a major gunfight. Simon must rescue his daughter from the operating room before Dr. Montejo can attempt to cut her insides. Montejo finds a rifle and shoots Simon through the abdomen. He is rendered immobile. Montejo’s medical team panics and runs out of the freight container that serves as an operating room.

Simon, however, wakes up just in time to shoot Montejo, killing him. Samantha is saved and the two of them emerge from the operating table. Renteria hopes Simon will tell Renteria that justice has been done.

Final Words

Renteria had no control at the end, because Sarmiento met Renteria before his arrest and threatened him with his family’s death if he didn’t do as he was told. His female assistant Inspector Bracho discovers that Renteria had shot Policeman Jimenez in order to release Mariachi and her men from jail. She then arrests Renteria. Garabato and a gang member see Simon’s pizzeria logo on Samantha’s pizza delivery vehicle, they head straight to the pizzeria in an attempt to harm Simon. Camila has changed her hairstyle, and she now holds a passport. Although a body that looks like hers is found in a lake, she has already flown to another place.

We know that “The Marked Heart Season 2” will air on the road. It is possible to wonder what lengths Simon will go in order to achieve justice. Will Samantha see Tomas? Now that Zacarias has learned she is alive, and Bracho has arrested Sarmiento, will Camila see Simon again? Season 2 could reveal Camila’s true motivations. Unexpectedly, Detective Renteria releases the criminals after killing an officer and pretends that he was tricked by them. Mariachi’s men go to the pizzeria looking for Sam. Detective Renteria is threatened by the organization and his family. Detective Bracho arrested him after learning that he was responsible for the shooting of the police officer.

Crime Continues

Camila informs Zacarias she told the police her story about Valeria’s death. Zacarias feels betrayed because she reported him to police and cheated with Simon. Sarmiento is asked by Zacarias to remove Simon. Greta is informed by Zacarias that he intends to get out of this situation by using Braulio’s presidency.

Braulio wins elections. Sarmiento is insulted by Braulio asking Zacarias for his expulsion from the party.

Mariachi and his crew are surrendered to Sarmiento by the police.

Zacarias believes Sarmiento is behind Camila’s murder and hands him over to police.

Camila’s True Feelings

Simon visits Camila to hear her confession. Both admit that they don’t understand each other’s feelings anymore. Camila speaks to Simon’s children and tells them about the truth about their mother’s death.

Camila makes up her death and flees the country, claiming a new identity. Simon only knows about it. Zacharias is shown a video of Camila by Sarmiento.
