Little Women Season 1 Recap

Season 1 of Little Women opens with In-joo preparing dinner for herself and In-kyung. In-joo is informed by the younger of them that she was fired from her job due to her addiction to alcohol at the dinner table.

In-joo promises to help Inkyung avoid becoming an alcoholic like their father. They decide to throw away the summer radish kimchi their mother left them. In-hye draws a portrait of her wealthy friend at home.

In-joo returns to the Oh family’s home and cleans out the kimchi containers. She then replaces them with the cash that she found at Hwayoung’s house. It is worth 2 billion won. She takes 1 million and then goes to a convenience shop, wondering what someone with this much money could do.

She asks herself how someone with so much money could kill themselves and comes to the conclusion that Hwa Young could still be alive. In-kyung and their great-aunt have dinner together, where they talk about her work.

In-joo meets Hyunmin, who agrees that they can help her on her terms.

In-kyung attempts to contact one of the relatives of the Bobae victims of the savings bank case but is unsuccessful. Jong-ho invites In-kyung to dinner, where she meets her grandfather, whom she dated as a child.

She receives a phone call from the victim’s nephew, who gives her an address and asks her to meet him at a fish market the following day. Do-il and Injoo then go to Hwayoung’s home to search for clues. However, In-joo asks her if she is able to concentrate so she can focus.

In-joo begins by adding up Hwa–young’s purchases from the receipts she left. She discovers that even though she claims to be poor, she spent a lot of money on luxury goods. In-joo recalls having a conversation about Hwa–young’s benefits of having a dual identity and living a double life.

In-joo then searches Hwa-young’s phone for a burnt Instagram account. This leads In-joo to Hwa’young’s secret world. In-joo calculates Hwa’young’s total expenses, and discovers many discrepancies she doesn’t know Hwa’young would have.

In-joo is visibly in tears as he approaches In’joo. He notices that HwaYng has an orchid in his house that looks fresh. Hyun-min is in shock.

In-kyung, Jong-ho and their driver drive to the fish markets early the next morning. However, they are distracted by a car accident.

Jong-ho and In-kyung are now with the police and they look at footage from the rearview camera of Cheol-seong, the victim’s nephew. They observe that Cheol Seong has lost his balance, but there is nothing unusual to support In-kyung’s suspicions.

In-kyung returns home to collapse while reading a text by Cheol-seong. Do-il and Injoo then go through Hyunmin’s conversations with Hwayoung and discover that Hyunmin was unaware of Hwayoung orchestrating the travel ban.

He could not leave the country so he sent her to Switzerland.
