Sintonia Season 4 Preview: Does Life Get Easier for Doni, Rita and Nando?

Sintonia has always been a show that is full of predictable and cliché stories and dialogues. It is a representation of three fundamental elements of the Brazilian cultural scene at their finest – religion, crime and music, but it also is a hit or miss when it comes to story. It is likely to be influenced by prior seasons. Sintonia Season 3 comes back with the same vigor.

Season two of Sintonia gave some hope that the next season would be key to the three main characters – Doni, Rita and Nando – enjoying a better life. Initially, it seems that they are together. Nando is, in essence, stuck within the world of crime, but is determined to become better by setting up his own company and having a second child together with his wife.

Rita, whose life was transformed after she discovered her faith in God, is on the right path by being a candidate for political office. And, Doni’s career in music is on the rise as his hits keep coming in each time. However, things can’t remain the same for long, can they? Then, our protagonists are caught up in their own lives, as their past haunts them, and the present fails to create the most beautiful image.

Nando’s ties to the criminal world continue to interfere with his honest, new life. Rita’s faith is beginning to unravel as she begins to see more than God at church, and the business side of it. Her love life torn apart is no help as well. Doni is also suffering in the same way. The more difficult it is for him to maintain his relationship with his wife, the more it appears to fade away, as the stress of becoming famous continues to weigh on Doni.

Three worlds separated, living two worlds at the same time, Doni, Rita and Nando fight to find the shining light that lies at the top of the tunnel. Sintonia Season 3 gets more real than anything we’ve ever witnessed before.

Doni, Nando and Rita aren’t the children that we once knew them to be. Their fights are more realistic and real at this point in their lives. The show has always earned high marks for its honesty and enthralling portrayal of Brazil that includes both the positive and negative aspects. In addition, the show also includes different subplots that deal with relationships between people, dreams and desires, and much more.

This third installment continues along the same, but more polished route. Nando’s storyline is the most intriguing of the three and it can keep viewers guessing what direction it’s taking. Contrastingly, Doni’s segment does not impress, and, with a lack of acting skill displayed by Jottape, the segment often is a bit sloppy. But, Christian Malheiros and Bruna Mascarenhas perform their roles to the audience flawlessly.

Sintonia Season 3 is adorable, and fun and delivers a thrilling conclusion that no one could have imagined coming. The characters are at a point of no return; this season brought out the best of the actors and presented an adequate enough plot to be able to trust.

The show reaches its conclusion as Doni is the only one who throughout the entire season has been struggling with his own feelings of being inadequate for the music industry, and nearly loses his love interest. He is able to save everything at the final moments. His music is getting ever more popular every day. It’s a very happy conclusion for Doni, however his relationship with Nando will lead Doni along with Rita into a risky situation.

When the grand opening of Nando’s Coffee Shop comes around, it’s an amazing celebration. Three friends get together to chat about their lives. Then, Nando receives an unpleasant visit from one of his coworkers within the group. After his friend quits, when Nando goes back to the group of friends, he and everyone else inside the establishment is shocked when the place is searched by police. They arrest Nando for his crimes.

Nando, Rita, and Doni all raise their hands in terror. It gets worse when Nando’s accomplices show up at the shop carrying rifles. The criminals and police remain in place, looking at each one. The screen goes black, as we hear the gunfire erupting and people screaming. The fate of the protagonists is not known. With a conclusion like this, it’s clear that there will be an upcoming fourth season. It is unclear who will be killed in the shooting. Could it be that any of the principal characters will pass away in the first episode of season 4?
