The Longest Night Before Season 2

The Longest Night Before Season 2

Netflix’s Spanish-language series The Longest Night tells the thrilling story of a prison break attempt. It has dozens of plot points and moving parts. The show’s first episode features a serial killer named Simon Lago (Luis Callejo). He is captured and taken to a mental institution. However, he knows that Lennon (Jose Luis Garcia Perez) has assembled a team to free him once he arrives. What is Lennon’s motive for doing this? This is part of the mystery.

Hugo Roca (Alberto Ammann), the prison’s warden, is preparing a Christmas dinner for his three children. His oldest child, Laura (Maria Caballero), is leaving to spend the night with her mother, and Hugo Roca is called to the prison to deal with Lago’s arrival. Lago’s two other children follow him to the prison, as he believes it will be a quick prisoner intake. Hugo receives a message from Laura, his daughter, when Lennon arrives to demand Lago’s freedom. She warns that Laura will be murdered if Lago is not released. Now, Hugo is trapped in a SWAT team attempting to free a prisoner. His two children are also inside the building. The SWAT team threatens to use his other child as a bartering device. What will happen to Hugo, his family, and Lago?

It becomes clear throughout the series that Hugo will do anything to ensure Laura’s survival. He pushes Lago off a building when one of his coworkers threatens to give Lago over to Lennon. He and Lago realize they must work together to ensure that Hugo’s children (and their own) survive the whole thing.

We learn that Laura’s kidnappers were a married couple and their daughter Valentina. Simon Lago informs Hugo that they must make a phone call with Laura’s kidnappers. He uses a coded phrase “Valentina’s waiting for you” to communicate this message. Hugo races to the roof to call the couple, but as soon as he does, Laura starts to convulse, and then passes out due to a heart condition. We see the couple getting ready to celebrate Christmas Eve six hours ago. Valentina leaves her bike outside and doesn’t return. Instead, her wife gets a box containing a gun, syringes, and a phone that rings. We assume that she has been informed that Valentina must be returned by her husband and that she must kidnap Laura to kill her unless Simon gives her the coded phrase.

Hugo, who is still on the prison roof, thinks Laura is dead. He hears Laura convulsing and realizes that she has had a history with heart problems. Lennon arrives while he’s still up there. Lennon isn’t a criminal who wants to free Lago from prison. We discover that Lennon is a cop. However, his motives for trying to (violently remove Lago from the premises) are not made clear. He also explains to Hugo how he could have worked with Hugo if he knew that Hugo was trying to save his daughter.

An unknown man calls his family to inform them that there is mayhem at the prison. He then explains that he must leave. It feels like The Longest Night’s story has just begun. The camera pans through family photos at the home of the couple who kidnapped Laura and settles on a photo of Hugo and the mystery man on his way to prison. Who is this mystery man, you ask? How do Hugo and the couple with his daughter get to know each other? We’re hoping there will be a Season 2.

Cast of The Longest Night Season 2

Cast of The Longest Night Season 2

Alberto Ammann (Hugo Roca), Luis Callejo (Simon Lago), Jose Luis Garca Perez (Lennon), Barbara Goenaga (Elisa Montero), Maria Caballero (Laura), Xabier Devi (Bastos) and Sabela Aran (Macarena Montes) are the cast of “The Longest Night”. Elisa Matilla, Pablo Alama, Rey, Daniel Albaladejo, Luis Callejo, Jose Luis Garca Perez (Lennon), Barbara Goenaga (Elisa Montero), Maria Caballero (Laura), Adolfo Fernandez, Cecilia Freire, Manuela, Alejandro Tous are also part of the cast.

Aran is one such actress. As her character is most likely deceased, she will not be present in season 2 with the possible exception of flashback scenes. Hugo and Simon’s struggle to contrast might still be an important part of the plot. In which case Ammann, Callejo, and Callejo will likely return. The stories of the cast members who are still unfinished seem to be continuing, so they will likely continue their roles and be joined in new roles.

The Longest Night Season 2 Story

The Longest night Season 2 Story

The Longest Night season 2 won’t be available, so there is no doubt about the plot. But, for now, let’s see The Longest Night.
The Longest Night, a series about Simon Lago, is set on December 24. It is about the notoriously rumored Simon Lago who had escaped for many decades and is now being held captive by the SWAT team. Simon Lago was captured and taken to Monte Baruco. It was a prison that housed psychiatric patients.

We now come to the scene where a man was enjoying Christmas dinner with his children. He was then interrupted and asked to go over to his job as prison warden. Hugo Roca was forced to flee the scene and return to the prison immediately after the call had ended. Hugo Roca, however, took his two youngest children, his son and daughter, with him. His eldest daughter was away with her mother.

A group of people have been hired to do some other mysterious things. Lennon now directs them to find Simon. Simon informs Hugo about the situation and the group outside waited for Hugo to decide whether or not to hand Simon over. Hugo had planned his moves and resisted their demands, but the situation turns out to be even more brutal when his eldest daughter is taken by the group. The audience should also watch The Longest Night to see how the events unfold.

Review Before To Watch The Longest Night Season 2

Review Before To Watch The Longest Night Season 2

The Longest Night is a huge success. A diverse group of characters, a fascinating setting, and a volatile, pressure cooker situation that can explode at any time. You can exploit it. Execution is the problem.

Netflix’s latest Spanish series, which spans six episodes, is an intense, fast-paced, and exciting series that doesn’t seem to slow down as it moves through its main plot. However, the story is too exciting for memorable characters. They eventually fade into mediocrity and are left with very little time to develop their stories beyond being very one-note.

Although the story is straightforward, there are many layers to its conflict. Simon, a serial killer, is at the core of all this. He’s taken into custody in the middle of the night and transferred to Baruca, a psychiatric jail. Warden Hugo is summoned to assist him on Christmas Eve. Due to family issues back home, he is also forced to take his children with him.

Review Before To Watch The Longest Night Season 2

Poor Hugo and his companions are unaware that armed mercenaries have been hired by a mysterious contractor and plan to kill Simon. Although these plans are not revealed until the end of the game, it is obvious that they want to keep Simon still in case he divulges secrets to the judge.

Hugo is now in a precarious situation with mercenaries coming his way. Hugo also learns that Laura, his other daughter, is being held to ransom. They’ll kill Laura if they don’t hear back from Simon by 1 am. Hugo is now in an impossible position, trying to balance the lives of his family and those inside the prison.

This is a fascinating conflict on paper. The problem is that The Longest Night rushes to get to the next scene and never gets to know the characters. Hugo is a typical white male protagonist that you would find in many video games. The mercenaries, which are commanded by Ruso as well as Lennon, have little character beyond their status of hired guns. As are many prison guards, they’re extremely one-dimensional.

Review Before To Watch The Longest Night Season 2

Some flashbacks sprinkled throughout each episode show how some inmates ended up in prison. This helps the inmates in the prison fare better.

Hugo’s backstory is limited to a brief glimpse of his family life in episode 1, and repeated flashbacks of him with Laura. This gives context for the end of the show. However, I’ll be honest and say that this episode ends on a big ol’ cliffhanger (4 in actual). In preparation for the next season.

The problem with The Longest Night is its slow pace. The story is good and there are some really intense scenes, especially when the invaders and inmates get into a fight. All of this was sped up over a show that required about 10-12 episodes to let everything breathe.

Another reason that shows like Prison Break or La Casa De Papel work so well is their quiet moments of contemplation.

Review Before To Watch The Longest Night Season 2

Prison Break was a great opportunity to spend time with each inmate, understand their personalities and see how they fit into the prison hierarchy. With La Casa De Papel, we enjoyed quiet moments with Tokyo or The Professor, allowing us to speculate on the future of our characters. The Longest Night is a story that has no plot.

Ironically, for a title such as “The Longest Night”, this show had to be longer in order to truly punctuate the threat. The writers get so focused on the positive that they forget to characterize the main cast. What we get instead is a prison drama with a lot of plot and little character that won’t be forgotten in a hurry.

It will be interesting to see what audiences think of this movie, as there are some memorable moments. These moments are scattered around a fast-paced screenplay that blazes through the main plot. This one is not going to bore you, but you will be surprised at how satisfied you feel by the end. This is before we mention the mind-boggling decisions that characters make on this show.

The Longest Night isn’t a terrible show, but it will likely attract a large audience who’ll enjoy the show with a lot of joy. This series is one of those that falls apart the more you look at it. The ending suggests that we will have to wait for a full resolution. There is plenty of time to examine the issues. This is a typical, forgettable drama that could easily have been a memorable night.
