Ajisai Naruto: Everything You Need to Know

Ajisai was a young woman whose body was replaced by the first Animal Path of the Six Paths of Pain. As a character in the show, she played a kunoichi of Amegakure and an associate of Suiren as well as Fuyo.

APPEARANCE

This body of the second Path was the property of Ajisai and was the only female body of Pain. As with the previous Animal Path, it possessed Nagato’s Rinnegan. STORY

Konan placed an order for Ajisai to locate the jinchuriki during the examinations. In the show, after Nagato took charge of Amegakure, Ajisai and his team were taken to Konohagakure to take part in the Chunin Exams co-sponsored by Sunagakure. According to Konan, Ajisai and his team were regarded as an organization commissioned by Hanzo and, during the test, they had to collect the most information they could regarding Shinobi who had high levels of chakra, with the possibility of becoming a Jinchuriki.

After arriving, Ajisai and his fellow teammates were randomly separated and assigned to separate rooms to sit for the written test. Inspector Shikamaru Nara explained that each participant only had to answer a single question on the test; however, their score in conjunction with their colleagues would determine whether or not they could pass the exam, given that they had to score exactly 100 points to be able to pass. In the end, Neji Hyuga came up with a method to ensure that everyone could pass the test by striking the wall of the room in order for everyone to know what question each person in the room was expected to respond to.

After everyone was finished and the time had run out, Shikamaru informed everyone of a question. In the following days, Temari, who was a different inspector, stated that since a lot of participants passed the next test as an introduction stage, the 30 who showed up in Sunagakure which is where the next test would be held, would be competent to go on. They were among the 30 people who completed the race and were able to qualify. The following day, after the night at the location they had chosen, the second race was announced for the race at the Demon Desert.

Two days into the test, Ajisai and his team began searching for shinobi that had high chakra levels, as instructed. Ajisai’s group began looking for Shinobi with high chakra levels according to the requirements. Then, they found Team Guy. After recognizing them and observing their chakra levels were not enough to create a jinchuriki level, they attempted to back away but only to find their foes besiege them in the hope of getting their scroll. The battle continues in the ruins, and the ground begins to collapse, completely encompassing Ajisai as well as Tenten. As Tenten was recovering and headed to investigate Ajisai’s position, the Kunoichi from Amegakure appeared to be asleep waiting for Tenten to be close enough to allow her to strike.

When Tenten proposes that they make a deal until they can leave the location, Ajisai agrees, but she refuses the water Tenten provided, and instead summons her own water cup. While they are talking and searching for an escape way, they are confronted by a massive ant. Once they have defeated the ant, Tenten is frightened, and wonders whether there are other giant ants. Ajisai suggests that they each capture an insect to use for summoning. After further walking, they come across a nest filled with ants and begin to run as they realize the two ants have both noticed them.

Ajisai as well as Tenten are trapped after they encounter an obstacle of boulders blocking their way. They discover that there is an individual who was trying to demolish the wall of boulders across the other side and decide that they must be the ones who are responsible. When Ajisai attempts to stop the ants with the help of her Giant Panda and seals some stones from the wall, she demands Tenten to do the same, even though Tenten says she isn’t able to accomplish that.

After a flashback to her experience with Might Guy in the quest to stop the ocean from being sealed, Tenten takes a scroll and invokes a section of the ocean that floods the area as she as well as the other team members to the ruins. After keeping peace between the two teams, Ajisai praises Tenten for her skills and abilities. Team Guy as well as Tenten’s team disbanded and split up, with Team Guy heading toward the Tower and Team Ajisai seeking Jinchuriki again. Ajisai died in her very first assignment as a chunin.

After the controversy over the second exam, the decision was made by Gaara to cancel the exam for the 3rd time for the year, and a report on every participant would be given directly to the villages’ leaders to determine whether they would be promoted. When they returned back to Amegakure, Konan was satisfied with the findings of the Ajisai team which was why he promoted them. Ajisai was thrilled to learn about the promotion and became enthusiastic regarding getting his debut S Rank mission. However, eventually it led to his death. [6]

Following his death, Ryusui along with Yudachi took his body to the top of the tower in Amegakure, where Konan stood waiting. In the end, Nagato utilized her body as his own Animal Path.

PART II

PAIN’S ATTACK

A second Chikushodo calling forth an animal during the battle. The Animal Path is first seen when Pain was preparing to take Kyubi’s jinchuriki Naruto Uzumaki. In the outskirts of the village it is located. The Animal Path is thrown through the village’s wall in the form of its Asura Path. As the path is charged with creating distractions, it is the Animal Path that summons various animals to attack the village. Then when the Human Path is mobilizing, the Animal Path sets its target on Konohagakure’s Intelligence Division, where it hunts for a chakra receiver.

When Naruto is back in the village, Naruto’s Animal Path summons the other Six Paths of Pain to the other side from the Deva Path and then summons the animals which defeat Gamabunta, Gamaken, and Gamahiro. The path is then removed by Naruto using the Senjutsu technique: Rasenrengan in Gamabunta’s mouth.

ABILITIES

After being selected as a candidate by Konan to take part in an investigation mission to study Jinchuriki, Ajisai seemed to be an experienced Kunoichi. She displayed remarkable skill in taijutsu. She was competent to fight back in a fight during dinner with other genin and not be subjected to any blows. She also displayed quick reflexes, and was able to deflect an explosive kunai being thrown at her. Ajisai could also use the Summoning Technique for summoning a powerful defensive gate that would be able to ward off taijutsu attacks or a massive Panda to aid her during battle.

The organ that this Animal Path ability was channeled, this corpse was equipped with the power to summon creatures under the control of Pain, like a chameleon, a crab and even birds. Additionally they could call the remaining six Path Corpses, including Pain along with Konan. The girl was unable to jump at a high level which is evident in her body’s use to create the second Animal Path, requiring other paths to propel her body to or away from places.

FUINJUTSU

Like Tenten, Ajisai specializes in fuinjutsu. She demonstrated a lot of skill at attachment Technique which allows her to secure and store objects to use in combat. She also demonstrated huge chakra reserves, capable of storing huge amounts of whatever is in her path. In combat, she carried a variety of small sealing formulas, each one containing different tools and weapons like ropes, papers and shuriken. She was able to swiftly make use of her arsenal and surprise her adversaries by launching an array of strikes or hide her escape.

CURIOSITIES

She was the sole female participant in Nagato’s Six Paths of Pain and also maintained her voice rather than talking through Yahiko’s voice.
As opposed to the other paths, the manga didn’t give details of her past life prior to being a Path of Pain, however, the show did reveal that she was a participant in the Chunin Exams, with the goal of locating a Jinchuriki.
