In Aot, The Ocean or Sea is a huge body of water that covers three quarters of the Earth’s surface. Its water is salty and sometimes sparkling, but it also contains many aquatic species that cannot be fished in the rivers and lakes of Paradise Island.

The ocean current has a very different appearance depending on where it is located. If the Mahr Continent‘s northern side is calm, it will be very difficult to build the coastline south of them.

HISTOLOGY Ocean Aot

PAST

While Eldia was the dominant Mahr continent in 843, its king Karl Fritz left it and crossed the sea to Paradise Island. In the decades that followed, the Central Office continued to make this journey regularly, with ships available. It wasn’t to invade Paradise, but to deport Eldians who arrived on the mainland and transformed themselves into titans. The journey by steamboat was made for the Eldian Resistance’s deportation in 832.

ARCH OF SHIGANSHINA’S RETURN

The 851 extermination of the Titans of the Island resulted in the Ocean being rediscovered by the residents of Paradise. They had not been there since 743, and they were unaware of its existence until the previous year, when it was discovered by the notebooks of Grisha Java.

The Tactical Squad members were the lucky ones, who enjoyed it and marveled at it. Eren had not seen it before, but he remembered it.

Their leader, Master Corporal Livai Ackerman, let them do it under the circumstances. Major Hansi Zoe was also present and collected shellfish to study.

One month later, Eren Jager, the Original Titan, crossed the ocean leading the swimming Wall Titans to ravage the Outer World. He destroyed the port of Califa as well as the International Coalition fleet which was anchored there.

The Tactical Squad, supported by the Warrior Unit, went to Eren to stop him and confronted his former comrades who were trying to stop him at the Port of Paradise. It was destroyed in the confrontation.

After the first group had won the second, they crossed the ocean in a Transporter, arriving at Odiha where they were waiting for the seaplane to take them to Eren.

The Falco Geis’ transformation into a flying Jaw Titan to join the other Warriors that had locked him up in his cabin, caused the Carrier to sink.

To finish their journey to Heazul, the ship’s civilian passengers, which included its owner Kiyomi Abimabito, used lifeboats.

The final phase of extermination was also taking place at the cliffs on the south side of the Great Continent. Many of them drowned, driven by the Titans of the Wall.

Five members of the alliance that had stopped the Great Digging in 857 went to Paradise aboard a ceremonial vessel to negotiate a peace agreement.

Paradise Island Coast Conflicts (851-853):

• Exploration Battalion supported by the Assault Titan vs. Mahr Reconnaissance Ship (851) = Paradise wins with overwhelming victory thanks to the Titan and the Anti-Mahr Mercenaries who ally with Paradise.
• Exploration Battalion with support from Colossal Titan and Assault Titan, Anti-Mahr Mercenaries vs. 31 Mahr Warships including several Destroyers (853 to 853) = An overwhelming victory for Paradise, and the confiscation of an enemy cruiser.

Mahr War – Middle East Alliance (850 – 854)

• Naval War = Superiority to the Middle Eastern Countries, Mahr’s narrow victory due to the ground support from its primordial titans.
• Bombardment at Slava Bay (854): Battleship Titan, Bestial Titan vs. Middle East Alliance Fleet = Titans’ narrow victory.

Year 854

• Attack at the Port Of Revelio: Colossal Titan against the Mahr Fleet = A crushing victory for the Colossal Titan.
• Battle of Califa Harbor: Titans of the Wall against the International Coalition Fleet = A crushing victory for the Titans of the Wall
