Call Of The Night Characters

Who are The Main Characters Of Call Of The Night ?

Nazuna Nanakusa

Nazuna Nanakusa

Nazuna is a very laid-back individual. She is not overly friendly but has a very relaxed presence in most situations. She’s willing to talk to just about anyone and prefers keeping on good terms with everyone, including people that would generally consider themselves her enemy because of her vampirism.

Nazuna gets along really well with people who enjoy the night and love to show people new to the town’s nightlife.

She doesn’t advertise that she’s a vampire; however, she’s more open about it than expected. This is because she does not drink from people who do not consent to it. Sometimes this means telling them she’s a vampire; other people are just into that sort of thing. She cares a lot about not being a bad person.

Nazuna Nanakusa

Nazuna is very open about sexual things and has no problems discussing them. However, she is very romance-averse and reacts strongly in embarrassment to the word “love” when used in the romantic sense.

Nazuna has a mysterious air and a possessive side, getting annoyed when Kou Yamori told her that another vampire beside her sucked his blood.

Kou Yamori

Kou Yamori

Kou is friendly, liked by most people, and a showcase student. Although he seems to have enjoyed a satisfying and successful life, Kou longs for other things. He dislikes being the center of attention and isn’t motivated enough to maintain his excellent school performance. Kou also finds it difficult to sympathize with the other students. He quickly decides to turn away from school life and live a life as a loner.

He’s mature for his age and doesn’t seem to be afraid of many things; for example, he roams the nights alone as a 14-year-old without much fear and gets involved with vampires without further doubt. Moreover, he has conversations with far more experienced and older people without any problems. His mostly sleepless nights prove to be a big problem for him; he can’t sleep at all or only a little, so he has a pretty depressing appearance at the beginning. He also desires to become a vampire and does not generally understand the concept of love.

When she was a human, Kabura had a much more friendly personality. Because she got hospitalized often, she felt like a burden and didn’t make promises to avoid disappointing others. She also avoided calling for help when her nose bled. She genuinely wanted to experience everything an ordinary girl would experience but couldn’t because of her illness.

Whenever the people around her, like her mother or her friends, neglected her, she would ignore it and suppress her negative thoughts. But when she realized that her friends never bothered to understand her and didn’t honestly care about her, she stopped caring and confessed that she hated everything. She hated her parents and her friends. She wanted to have a lover, but she hated men.
