Carla Yeager is Eren Yeager’s mother. She was Mikasa Ackerman’s adopted mom and Grisha Yeager’s spouse. She was killed by “Smiling Titan” after the falling of Wall Maria.

When Eren was tempted to join the Exploration Battalion, Carla advised him not to go in this direction by telling him it was not safe and showed the love she feels for her son, as she appeared to be genuinely concerned regarding Eren’s safety.

History Carla Yeager

Carla is wife to Dr. Grisha Yeager. They first met in an eatery when Carla worked there as a waitress. After the outbreak, Carla was seriously ill, however Grisha quickly treated her and they became lovers. In the following years, they were married and were blessed with Eren.

Ten years after, Carla Yeager is being portrayed as adamantly preventing Eren from joining the Exploration Battalion when Mikasa mentioned Eren’s desire to join the Human Army. Eren’s father could remain apathetic and even favorable to Eren’s desire prior to leaving his home. Carla however, tried to convince Eren to change his mind. But, being with a strong character, Eren yelled at her and then decided to flee, disregarding her protests.

In the Maria Wall invasion, Carla was crushed by the parasitic debris after the Colossal Titan made an opening into the wall in Shiganshina District by knocking at its main entrance. In the process, Carla lost both her legs, which became crushed in the rubble of her house.

Eren along with Mikasa attempted to free her, but they failed. She pleaded with them to leave due to the presence of Titans which destroyed all human beings living in the area where a titan with a height of 14 meters approached their home was called the “Smiling Titan”.

Then, Hannes arrived, initially declaring that he was trying to save all three (Eren, Carla, Mikasa) and therefore pay the debt he owed to Grisha Yeager, who previously helped his wife from the scourge that struck Shiganshina. Shiganshina but the man was unable to go after the titan since the man was “petrified of fear.” Hannes determined to protect his two children by putting Carla Yeager in the rubble on her request.

When the three stood on the track, and far enough away from the Smiling Titan’s reach, Carla mumbled that she did not want them to go away, and covered her mouth tightly with her hands , so that the children wouldn’t be able to hear her voice. It was then that the titan was able to grab her and crush her while she struggled. Then , he devoured her before the sneering eyes of Eren and Mikasa. This was the factor that prompted Eren to join the army.

Eren disclosed to Armin that it was he who stole his Smiling Titan away from Bertolt and gave it to his mother.

Eren is the son of Carla Yeager. In spite of their differing opinions concerning Eren’s choice for a place in the Exploration Battalion, she loved Eren deeply. She also wanted him to behave as an “man” and protect Mikasa instead of the opposite.

MIKASA ACKERMAN

Mikasa is the adopted daughter of Carla. When she arrived within the Yeager family, they immediately got along.

GRISHA YEAGER

Grisha was her husband. She became infatuated with him after the man saved her along with Shiganshina from an outbreak. Then, shortly after, they got married.

• Carla Yeager has been the only character from the series to be eaten by the Titan. She is not an individual in the show.
• The couple don’t appear as a couple in Attack of the Titans Live-Action due to the fact that Eren’s parents passed away when he was a child.
• The Smiley Titan appears to be Dina Fritz, Grisha Yeager’s former wife , and maternal grandmother of Sieg Yeager (the present Bestial Titan). The first wife of Grisha ate the second.
• The actress who plays dubbing Carla Yeager in the French version is the same actress who plays Ymir and also the unidentified nurse named Berangere Jean. Additionally, both characters share the identical birthday.
