Since One Punch Man‘s debut, Saitama has been the subject of much discussion. The Caped Baldy was always compared to Goku from the Dragon Ball series. Fans want to know if Saitama is stronger than he was in the series.
Many heroes from many shonen series tend to stagnate until a training program is introduced. This allows the character’s strength to grow. One Punch Man isn’t a typical shonen character, and this is also the case for Saitama.
There is no doubt that Saitama has grown stronger since his introduction in the series. Let’s now see how far he’s come.
How powerful is Saitama Max?

The battle of Saitama against Garou is finally over, but we were treated to some incredible feats in chapters 166, 167, and 168.
We saw Saitama reach a level that very few people could have imagined he would reach, and we are not even at the end of the series yet. In today’s post, I wanted to go over Saitama’s craziest feats from their space battle and talk about what would have happened if Saitama had never lost his strength after traveling through time.
But before that, if you like One Punch Man and everything related to it, this is the place for you. I also talk about a lot of theories and discussions about One Punch Man.
As I said earlier, some of the feats we saw in space when Garou and Saitama were fighting were some of the craziest things you’d read about in a fighting manga, like the serious table-turning that completely destroyed the surface of IO (Orbit Of Jupiter).
IO is about a quarter of the size of the planet Earth. But, we must also keep in mind that Saitama used this move with only one hand. So, we can assume that using both hands, he would be able to do twice as much damage or even more because he has more leverage to be able to tear up the ground as hard as he can.
So, I think it’s safe to assume that if Saitama performed the serious table flip on Earth with both hands and still had the same power as he did on IO, he would be able to raze the entire surface of the Earth in one move.
Later in the fight, as Garou and Saitama both get exponentially stronger, we see on these graphs that Garou and Saitama’s exponential growth, and finally we see that Saitama’s growth far exceeds Garou’s and he reaches an unimaginable level.
Because immediately afterwards, we see that Saitama makes a serious sneeze that looks like a normal sneeze for him, but it was enough to literally blow the surface of Jupiter.
Jupiter is of course several times larger than Earth, so presumably a sneeze made on planet Earth would have completely blown it to pieces. Not only that, but there’s also a video by Kyle Hill, who has a great YouTube channel. He’s a really great guy… I know I’m butchering his channel a little bit, I’m going to leave a link to the video I’m referring to below.
I highly recommend you check it out, but basically what he calculated is that the force it would take to blow the surface of Jupiter like Saitama did is enough to annihilate the planet Earth and send its little pieces to the end of the known universe, which is absolutely insane to think about.
Imagine that one day, Saitama catches a cold, sneezes for the first time, and the planet Earth is gone. Even after Saitama defeats Garou, Garou realizes that what he did, killing tons of people with his cosmic radiation, was completely wrong and he regrets everything and wants to reset everything.
He teaches Saitama to travel in time by copying his technique. You can watch Kyle Hill’s video linked above which will give you an idea of how much energy it takes to do this, an insane amount, but the fact that Saitama was able to copy Garou’s technique and use his own body to create the amount of energy needed to travel through time.

It’s pretty crazy if you ask me. If he remembered how to do it, if his future was kept to him in the current timeline, he could literally travel through time at will and would never miss the sales at the supermarket again, even if there is still a supermarket to shop at.
As I said, the implications of Saitama’s insane strength make him the greatest danger to planet Earth that could possibly be had. You could even say that before he was so powerful, but it’s even more true now.
Take for example the following scenario: if Saitama does the same thing as with Garou, travel back in time to stop him before he kills everyone. But the only thing that changes is that Saitama makes an infusion with his old self so everything else we see in chapter 169 takes place when the whole chapter ends and the only thing that is really different. Is that Saitama remembers everything that happened and he has retained all his strength.
So the first thing Saitama would do is what we see him do at the end of chapter 169, which is search through the rubble of all the destroyed buildings and structures of the Arc of the Monsters Association and try to find what’s left of his home.

Even doing something as simple as putting his hand in the ground… as seen with the table flip would be more than enough to destroy a good portion of the crust without him intending to do it again.
Once he finds a place to live, let’s say he’s just taking a nap and we all know that when you sleep, you fart without even knowing it. Imagine a Saitama fart like the one he used to propel himself through the hyperspace door that Garou used to escape if it was enough to propel him through space at such a speed.
One can only imagine the insane strength of this fart then in his sleep he can literally level the building he is in and probably many buildings within a mile radius and even crazier than that as I said earlier if Saitama were to get a cold and sneeze it would be curtains for planet earth right?
I mean there are a ton of things in our everyday life that can make us sneeze like pet hair or just a tickle on the nose or a cold little things that could make Saitama sneeze would instantly end life as we know it on earth.
So for my part, I think it’s a good idea that Murata decided to put Saitama’s strength back to where it was before the fight between Garou and Saitama. We have learned in these two chapters that we have barely scratched the surface of what Saitama is capable of.
Unanswered Questions About The Power Of Saitama?
Has Saitama Broken His Limiter?

Dr. Genus also believed that too much power has certain limitations. It can become unbearable and overwhelm the user, turning them into unthinking monsters. There are many ways to remove the limiter, including engaging in multiple near-death situations. These situations allow them to overcome their limitations, become stronger, as well as transform mentally and physically. They would look more powerful with their new appearances. But Saitama’s balding hair is not considered to be monstrous. However, Dr. Genus’s theory about limiters is credible. Garou, also known as the “Human Monster”, proves that it can be broken. Garou nearly dies during the battle. But the opposite happens. His abilities suddenly increase exponentially and his body becomes a monster-like shape. He is still partially human though, which suggests that his limiter was not fully broken.
One popular theory about the source of Saitama’s and other characters’ strengths is that they were dedicated to their training and dedication to an inhuman level. Their high-level dedication resulted in a supernormal strength, which is uncommon for a human. This theory can be connected to many heroes in One Punch Man. Some examples include King and Genos. The theory is credible, but there is one problem. Mumen Rider is one of the most dedicated heroes of One Punch Man. He should be strong, according to the dedication theory, but he is weak or non-existent.
What is Saitama’s Power Source?

Genos, Saitama’s student, questioned him about the source of his power. He then shares unbelievable, incomparable answers. Saitama claims that he gained immense strength through 100 push-ups and 100 squats. He also ran 10 km per day for over a year. Genos is skeptical of Saitama’s claims, claiming that the routine isn’t stressful. Saitama doesn’t budge and attributes the hair loss to his intense workouts. Genos concludes that Saitama doesn’t know his power’s source.
One Punch Man is an intriguing series because of Saitama’s power. His origins are still unknown. Saitama performed remarkable feats in anime and manga, attracting the attention of many. There are many theories as to the origin of Saitama’s strength. Some theories have been deduced from the characters in the comedy series, while others were derived by fans who used various factors. In Chapter 88 of One Punch Man manga, Saitama is first depicted as a monster by Dr. Genus who was a genius scientist and a notable villain of the House of Evolution. Dr. Genus said that there is an artificial limit that prevents humans from becoming stronger beyond a certain point. It was called the “Limiter” by Dr. Genus. He said that God placed the limiter on humanity to prevent them from entering “the realm in which we lose all purpose or reason”.
Is Saitama’s Power From God?
A second interesting theory about the source of Saitama’s power is God. It is clear that superpowers can be connected to a divine source in One Punch Man. Homeless Emperor is a prime example. He is one of the leading forces in the Monster Association. Although Homeless Emperor does not have any monster features, he has extraordinary abilities in energy manipulation and energy projection. When he attempted suicide, he claims that God gave him his abilities. His divine mission now is to eradicate all human aspects from the Earth.
This theory is supported by the fact that Oculette, Flashy Flash and Saitama, all members of Monster Association, were able to communicate with a divine being via a cube. If they passed his test, God offered these characters the chance to have greater powers. They declined the offer and Blast, the number one S-Class hero, arrived. God recognizes Blast and Blast says that he is familiar with God, and that he was currently searching for superpower-rich cubes. A glimpse into Tatsumaki’s childhood is given to show how Blast came into contact with the cube.

According to the God theory, Saitama’s immense strength was a result of coming in contact with one or more divine cubes. It is possible that Saitama acquired this power by accident. This would explain why he doesn’t agree with the God-praised views of humanity espoused by Homeless Emperor or Vaccine Man.
Despite the many theories about the source of Saitama’s power, it seems unlikely that they will reveal the truth anytime soon. It won’t surprise if Saitama’s secrets are kept secret since the series is and is based on an unconventional storyline.
Conclusion
We thought he was infinitely powerful before Saitama’s back in time, but now we know that he still has a lot of room for improvement. We can say that Saitama has always had this strength and that he could only exploit it by facing an opponent capable of pushing him so far but anyway an opponent as strong as Garou doesn’t come along often in the series.
So we can say that for now the planet is safe and Saitama is living there. But what do you think? What would have happened if Saitama had kept his strength after his fight with Garou? Or do you think he would find a way to manage and control his strength?
