Monkey D Dragon: Everything You Need To Know

Monkey D Dragon: Everything You Need To Know

[ad_1]

Monkey D. 🐉 Dragon is the supreme commander of the Revolutionary 💂🏾 Army, which plans to overthrow the World Government. This is why he is considered the most wanted criminal worldwide.

Appearance

Dragon 🐉 is a tall, black-haired man with a prominent red tattoo on his left side. He also has no eyebrows and a small beard on his chin. He wears a long, dark green cloak under which he is dressed in a black suit.

He was only thirty-one years old when his appearance was almost identical to the one he has today. However, he did not have the tattoo and he did not have the beard. His hair appeared to be shorter.

Character

Dragon loves freedom and believes in destiny. He is also a part of the war against the enemy that his organization is waging. The World Government takes it very seriously and reminds his subordinates often that it will take a long time and be difficult.

He is stern and serious, which is a contrast to other family members and those who wear the D. However, he often appears with a mocking smile.

He cares about the fate and well-being of innocent people, particularly those who are oppressed by the World Government. He is a hero, as he rushed to rescue people caught in the flames of Grey Terminal. Then, they are offered a place in the Revolutionary 💂🏾 Army. He also doesn’t seem to like talking about his past and has a strange habit of always looking in the direction of the eastern 🌊 sea when the wind changes.

Sincerity and discipline are the two most important aspects of his organization. He sees war as a way of achieving peace.

Reports

Revolutionary Army

Sabo

Sabo is not included in Dragon’s hatred of nobles. He was actually shocked to hear that the boy had been born as a noble, and he listened to his story. Dragon and his revolutionaries saved Grey Terminal’s citizens after Dragon made that confession. Later, he saved Sabo’s life and allowed him to join the revolutionaries. He worked his way up to becoming his right-hand person.

Ivankov Emporium

Emporio Ivankov is one of 🐉 Dragon’s comrades and is one of the commanders of the Revolutionary Army 💂🏾. Ivankov apparently understands Dragon’s habit of looking in the direction of the eastern 🌊 sea when he is alone and interprets the gesture as a sign of nostalgia. He was not aware of Dragon’s family. Rufy came to his rescue years later when he received news that led him to defend the pirate.

Bartholomew Bear

Bartholomew Kuma was part of the Revolutionary Army. Dragon saved the people of Grey Terminal. Kuma was there with him. Kuma also knows about the blood connection between 🐉 Dragon and Rufy. Ivankov did not realize this until he met Kuma. Furthermore, Kuma has secretly remained loyal to the Revolutionary 💂🏾 Army even once he became a member of the Fleet of Seven. Although the last change to a Pacifist has placed him entirely under the control and supervision of the World Government, 🐉 Dragon seems to be aware of the agreement between Kuma and the Marines.

Family

Monkey D. Garp

Dragon is the son of the famous Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp. The two view the world in a completely different way. While one is respected as a Marine, the other heads the Revolutionary Army. Dragon revealed that they are still in touch despite this. Garp had met Rufy in Loguetown.

Monkey D. Rufy

🐉 Dragon is Rufy’s father. He expects great things from him. Although they have never met in person, Dragon has supported his son’s decisions. Dragon is proud of all the chaos that Rufy has caused and how it has annoyed the World Government. Ivankov also stated that his tendency to look towards the East may indicate that he feels nostalgia. Ivankov also said that Rufy is similar to Dragon. He tries to accomplish feats never before attempted. Ivankov also said that it was impossible for 🐉 Dragon to allow one of his sons to be executed by the Navy. To prove his claim, Dragon saved Rufy at Loguetown.

Enemies

World Government

The revolutionaries led by Dragon try to take down the World Government through direct attack. Dragon is therefore considered to be the most dangerous and wanted person on the planet by the World Government. Being the son of 🐉 Dragon is also enough to be persecuted by justice, in a similar way to what happened with the son of the Pirate King.

Nobles

Dragon despises nobles of the Goa Kingdom who set fire to the Grey Terminal and saved all those who lived there. Sabo, who was embarrassed of his noble birth, is the exception.

Navy

The Navy, the largest force available to the World Government, considers Dragon a criminal. In fact, Sakazuki was among the few Marines who knew about the parental bond between Dragon, Garp and Rufy. For his part, 🐉 Dragon showed no particular hatred towards members of the Navy.

Strength and skill

Dragon is the supreme commander of the Revolutionary 💂🏾 Army. He is therefore the head of the whole organization. His power is demonstrated by his being regarded by the World Government to be the most wanted man in the world, and Ivankov, believing that Ace was 🐉 Dragon’s son, wonders if the Navy is crazy to want to face Whitebeard and Dragon simultaneously.

It is interesting that Ivankov and others are involved in this. Bartholomew Kuma, and Inazuma, are his subordinates, which shows how charismatic he is. 🐉 Dragon’s fame is not only worldwide. When Sengoku revealed that Rufy was his son to the entire world, many people were present, including Gecko Moria of the Fleet of Seven and many of the Whitebeard Pirates, gasped. Even Demaro Black, a fraudster who impersonated Rufy, repeatedly repeated this kinship to scare his enemies.

Ivankov said that Rufy’s willpower, his extraordinary physical endurance, and blood connection with him are evident. Dragon also possesses these characteristics.

Ambition

When Rufy uses the Conqueror King’s Ambition in Marineford, Garp says he has inherited this power. This implies that Dragon is the owner of it. Ivankov speaks of the closeness between them on this occasion. However, it is not confirmed.

Histories

Past

Dragon was born in the Goa Kingdom. He was alive twenty-two years before the beginning of the Loguetown arc, during the Execution of Gol D. Roger. After realizing how corrupt the world was, he decided to found the Revolutionary 💂🏾 Army to change it.

He had Rufy, his son, seventeen years prior to the start of the story.

Each nation joined him one by one, sometimes after a conflict. One day in Baltigo, Ivankov told him that he had noticed his habit of looking in the direction of the eastern 🌊 sea, speculating that he had a family he wanted to return to. 🐉 Dragon replied dryly to him that he wasn’t interested in his past.

Ten years ago, the story began. Dragon returned to the Goa Kingdom and witnessed the arson of Grey Terminal. After seeing Sabo’s despair, he was ashamed of his roots and regretted that he had been born as a nobleman. Dragon ordered everything to be done in order to save those living in the dump.

The revolutionaries arrived in Shimotsuki Village to search for food a while later. 🐉 Dragon went on a trip for a while, and once he was back in Goa, he saved a child from drowning due to an attack by a World Noble. The next night, he returned to the ship and instructed the child’s caretaker. Dragon and his crew set sail once the ship had been supplied with food from Koshiro’s Dojo to Baltigo. The child later recovered but still suffered from amnesia, and after 🐉 Dragon was informed by his men that he was the son of some Goa nobles, the revolutionaries prepared to bring him back. Sabo refused to allow this, and so 🐉 Dragon welcomed him to his group.

Dragon gave the order to the other revolutionaries two years later to find Nico Robin, also known as the “flashlight” of the revolution, and to protect her from the World Government.

As time passed, however, there was an increase in the Revolutionary 💂🏾 Army, which began to cause more and greater problems for the World Government. Dragon became a grave threat and was the number one wanted man in the world.

Loguetown Saga

Dragon takes a trip to Loguetown. Roger uses the phrase “I think about it” to describe his feelings.

He soon saw Rufy’s head crushed by Smoker. The Marine claims that his luck is over. However, 🐉 Dragon intervenes saying that it doesn’t seem so to him, preventing Smoker from taking his jitte. He recognizes him, and tells him that his head is being taken by the World Government. But the revolutionary replies in a puzzled manner, saying that the world is still waiting for their answer. Rufy and his team are freed by a wind gust immediately afterwards. Watching his son walk away, 🐉 Dragon tells him to go and follow his destiny. Smoker asks Dragon why he’s helping him. He replies that he doesn’t have any reason to stop a person from moving forward.

Later, he reports on what his father did to him.

Post-Enies Lobby Saga

Baltigo’s subordinates are happy about the success of Santa Urea’s revolt. Dragon, however, dampens their joy by saying that they have won only one battle but they are still fighting a war. They then apologize. Dragon soon notices Rufy’s new 300,000,000 Berry.png icon bounty on a desk, and asks Terry Gilteo about it. He learns that his son’s crew was responsible for the defeat of Enies Lobby. He then turns his back and walks off. When his subordinate questions him, he asks where he is heading. He replies that he just wants to breathe. As he steps onto the terrace, he wishes that his son could live according to his instincts. He also states that it may soon be their time.

Post-War Saga

Dragon speaks via slugphone with Ivankov to tell him that Whitebeard has died, so the commanders of the Revolutionary 💂🏾 Army will need to meet to discuss how they can respond to the changes in the world and the organization of the World Government. He then explains to Ivankov Bartholomew Kuma’s actions.

Straw Hat’s diverse adventures

Following the liberation of the kingdom of Tequila Wolf, 🐉 Dragon learns that his subordinates have found Nico Robin, the only survivor of the archaeologists of Ohara, who came to that place by the hand of Bartholomew Kuma. His men return to base to meet her.

Dressrosa Arc

Dragon is notified by his subordinates about their success around the globe two years later after Doflamingo’s defeat. He then congratulates Koala about the work done in Dressrosa as well as the recovered weapons which contain a rare substance called alcoholite. After that, he orders her to round up all the leaders of the Revolutionary 💂🏾 Army.

Reverie Saga

The revolutionaries move their base into the kingdom of Kamabakka, and call a meeting to plan the declaration of war on the World Nobles. Dragon informs them that the World Government has expelled the kingdom of Germa as they wait to be greeted by four more commanders. He then hears Lindbergh contact Sabo, who tells them that, due to a mishap, he and the other commanders will be arriving late; 🐉 Dragon therefore asks whether they should start it before they arrive.

Wano Country Arc

In Momoiro, Dragon, Ivankov, Belo Betty, as well as Koala are stunned and incredulous when they read the Economy Newspaper article about Sabo. They say they couldn’t even contact Sabo or the other commanders that had been to Marijoa. Dragon attempts to remain calm and states that it is necessary for him to confirm the facts.

Ship

His ship is called the Wind Granma.

Trivia

  • A short film of Rufy appears in the form of a 🐉 dragon years before the connection between him and Dragon was revealed. It is not clear if this coincidence is a deliberate clue or just a coincidence.
  • Every member of his family has a distinctive mark on their left faces: Rufy and Garp have a scar, and Dragon has a tattoo.
  • Dragon always appeared when there was a storm approaching or it was already in full swing. It happens in Loguetown, Gol D. Roger’s Execution, and on Dawn Island. Baltigo seems to be an isolated island with a lot of winds.
  • Dragon’s connection to wind is also apparent in the Gigant Battle videogame series where his ability to sweep his opponent using gusts is evident.
  • Bocadito, a Cuban snack, is his favorite food.
  • In nearly all his appearances, he only uses his left hand, keeping his right covered in his cloak. This indicates that he is left-handed.
