Kaguya is inspired by Nayotake-no Kaguya, the main character of the Japanese fairy tale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Aka Akasaka interprets Kaguya’s performance to deliver many impossible tasks to his suitors as the basis for Kaguya’s cold personality.
2. Miyuki Shirogane
Miyuki Shirogane is the deuteragonist and male protagonist of the Kaguya Sama Love is War Series. He is a third grade student at Shuchi’in Academy, and president of the Student Council (student president).
Miyuki is Ootomo No Miyuki’s fourth suitor in The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. He is charged with finding a Dragon’s gem.
3. Yu Ishigami
Yu Ishigami is one the Kaguya Sama Love is War Series protagonists. Shuchi’in Academy’s second-year highschool student, Yu Ishigami was a member of the Cheerleading Club and is currently the treasurer for the high school Student Council.
Ishigami is inspired by Isonokami No Maro, the fifth suitor in The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. The reason for his depressed appearance is that he is trying to remove a nest of swallow eggs from his shell. He then falls to his death from just getting bird droppings in him.
4. Ai Hayasaka
Ai Hayasaka is one the Kaguya Sama Love is War Series protagonists. She is a Shuchi’in Academy third-grader and was previously employed by Shinomiya Group. She serves as Kaguya Shinomiya’s servile.
Ai is based upon the moon kingdom envoy from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. He was assigned to return Kaguya–hime to the Moon. The star patterns that are found in his personal belongings reflect this.
5. Chika Fujiwara
Chika Fujiwara is one the main characters in the Kaguya Sama Love is War Series. He is a third grader at Shuchi’in Academy’s high school. He is also a member and secretary of Shuchi’in Academy’s Student Council.
Chika is based upon Kuramochi not Miko, the second suitor in The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. He is charged with finding the jewels of Hourai. His cheating behavior of playing games is based upon the fact that Princess Kaguya is often deceived by characters from his folklore. Chika’s surname Fujiwara was inspired by the Fujiwara clan from Japan, an important figure in Japanese History.
6. Miko Iino
Miko Iino is one the Kaguya Sama Love is War Series protagonists. He is a Shuchi’in Academy second-grade student, member of the Public Morality Committee and auditor of the Student Council.

The Top 10 Most Beautiful Kaguya Sama: Love Is War Characters Ranked
Kaguya Shinomiya, her classmates, are all kind, decent, and easy to like. It is hard to root against any of them in this war of love.
Kaguya Sama: Love is Waris a popular seinen romcom anime series that stars the stubborn but brilliant young lovers Kaguya Schinomiya (or Miyuki Shirogane). Each of them seeks victory by convincing the other to make a confession. This is a romance battle of wits and there might be some hurt feelings.
It’s not all bad. While KaguyaSama has some funny scenes of sharp-tongued insults and petty feudings, the majority of these characters are decent people. The main cast of Kaguya Sama are all kind and compassionate, and can be ranked according how often and how much they do this wonderful kindness.
10. Principal Adolphe Pescarolo Sometimes Has Fun
Adolphe Pescarolo is the principal of Shuchiin Academy. He doesn’t hesitate to enforce these rules and maintain Shuchiin Academy’s high standards. Adolphe Pescarolo isn’t one to berate students or make them cry for being out of control. This is going too far.
Principal Adolphe, on the other hand, is fair and strict about rules. He doesn’t want anyone unhappy. Adolphe is sometimes happy and takes photos of the student council members, treating them as models. Although he isn’t the most maternal of characters, he is polite and shows concern for his students.
9. MikoIino Feels Happy when Everyone Behaves
Miko Iino was the newest student council member. She is petite and strong-willed. She is a pushy person with her fervent fixation on rules but she perseveres. A chaotic life is not worth living, according to her.
Miko was able to dial this back a bit when Miyuki showed some kindness. She has come to accept the student council members and their needs as friends, even if they need more discipline. Miko now seems more like an antagonist than a tsundere, and her nice side is starting to show itself.
8. Yu Ishigami Takes More Care Than He Allows
Yu Ishigami, Miyuki’s best friend, isn’t always as kind as he seems. This hardcore gamer student is prone to making snide or cynical comments about everyone and everything. He also has an apathetic attitude. It’s no surprise that Miko and Kaguya dislike him.
But that’s only part of the story. Yu isn’t mean at all. He’s just scarred from negative experiences in his past. This means that he is “once bitten twice shy” when it comes to romance and friendship. Yu really cares about his friends, especially Miyuki Shirogane. He will fight for them. Yu, like Miko needs the right circumstances in order to show his good side.
7. Ai Hayasaka Watches Out for Kaguya
Ai Hayasaka, the maid, is another Kaguya–Samacharacter. She hides her true nice side behind a cold exterior and makes snide comments. Ai will make funny comments about Kaguya Shinomiya her mistress but she would never try to hurt Kaguya or anyone else’s feelings.
Ai is content to be modest and reserved in her modest position. She only shows her nice side in fragments , like a kuudere character that has vague tsundere elements. Although she won’t say it, she regards Kaguya in spirit as a sister and would do anything to help her.
6. Chika Yamawara Wants to Cheer Up Her Friends
Chika Fujiwara, a playful student council member, is seen as a mixed bag by her friends. She can be loud and annoying, as well as being a cheater in games and losing her patience. Even though she can be annoying to her friends, she shows them kindness over and over again.
Chika is a cheerful “love detective”, who loves to help people find their happy ending. She often expresses her kindness through cheering up everyone with games and activities. She is also very sensitive and can shed a lot of tears if she feels that she has hurt someone’s feelings.
5. KAGUYA SCHINOMIYA GETS USED TO ALL THIS
Kaguya Schinomiya, the heiress of a huge fortune is one of anime’s most wealthy characters. Kaguya used to live in the shadow of her family’s wealth, politics, and now she wants to be her own person. Although she may be ignorant and sheltered, Kaguya will take bold steps into the world that is love.
Kaguya is sometimes sharp-tongued or cold, but she most importantly wants to make friends and build meaningful relationships with people. Kaguya learned that money does not always buy happiness and that kindness and compassion are free. Kaguya is most interested in the wealth of her heart.
4. Miyuki Schirogane Is Generous and Hardworking
Miyuki Shirogane is the president of the student council. He is not as sheltered as Kaguya but is still charmingly unexperienced in matters of the heart. Although he is in love with Kaguya Shinomiya, he is not sure how to show his affections or get Kaguya on her side.
Shuchiin’s #1 student is Miyuki, but he doesn’t boast about it. He is instead a kind, generous, and helpful boy who puts others first. He even offers half-baked love advice to his little sister and supports his single father, Papa. Rarely does Miyuki talk about himself.
3. Nagisa Kashiwagi Is A Sweet Girlfriend
Nagisa Kashiwagi, a friend to Kaguya and Chika, is often able to seek out Kaguya for some romantic advice. Even though Kaguya may not be able to offer advice, Nagisa listens and has improved her relationship with Tsubame.
Nagisa is a kind, charming girl. She is not mean or petty and ranks high in Kaguya–Sama‘s most pleasant and wholesome characters. is a “relationship goal” in’s eyes, even though she can sometimes act a little jealous or insecure.
2. Tsubasa Tanuma is also the ideal romantic partner
Like Nagisa, Tsubasa is a great romantic partner. He has no personality flaws and doesn’t have any bad scenes. Although he isn’t the most famous anime lover, he can do a lot as a committed and serious boyfriend. His kindness is unsurpassed.
Tsubasa is like Nagisa and will seek romantic advice before making a move. He tends to consult Yu Ishigami and Miyuki Shirogane in particular. Although Miyuki, Yu and Yu may not know what they are talking about, Tsubasa listens patiently to their stories.
1. Tsubame KOYASU Is Just Too Wholesome
Tsubame Koyasu, a cheerful girl, is part of the Shuchiin cheer team. She’s not afraid to display her enthusiasm by performing her genki girls antics. Tsubame is full life and joy. This contrasts sharply with Yu Ishigami who joined the cheer team.
Tsubame is loud but not aggressive nor selfish. Tsubame is kind, selfless and wants to help anyone in need. She can’t bear the idea of anyone being hurt intentionally or accidentally. She is Kaguya–Sama‘s most wonderful and wholesome character.
Who Are The Funniest Kaguya Sama Love Is War Characters ?
These two characters are caught in a conflict between their insecurities and desires. They try to free themselves from the limitations placed on them by society, their families, or their financial situation. Kaguya, Miyuki, and one day Kaguya will be Kaguya!
Kaguya Sama: Love is War won’t be able to make this a reality until then. It will continue to pit the four student council members in mental battles to see who will win! After the dust settles, the only casualties of this war will be the viewers’ laughter!
5. Ai Hayasaka
Hayasaka works double shifts as both a Shuchiin Academy student (and Kaguya’s personal attendee and confidant). She is a cool customer, even if her master is often doubtful. Hayasaka’s role in the show grows from a small part to a major character. As the season progresses, Hayasaka’s importance increases exponentially, allowing Hayasaka’s comedy brilliance shine through.
Hayasaka is calm and collected and serves as a voice for reason to Kaguya’s tendency to analyze every situation. Hayasaka, unlike most characters, is subtle and soft-spoken. Hayasaka is able to deliver a one-liner that works both as insightful and funny, which she does more often than others.
4. Miyuki Shirogane
Kaguyasama blurs lines when it comes conventional comedy archetypes. The straight-talking, earnest student council president serves as the perfect complement to the roster’s quirky personalities. Miyuki, who plays the role of the universe’s Shinpachi, is all of these things and more. It masks a confused and stressed individual. Miyuki is a perfectionist who will do anything to keep this image alive. To hide his lack of skill, Miyuki will practice volleyball for hours a week.
The majority of segments show Kaguya and Miyuki battling it out to see which will win. They try to predict each other’s actions in order to get a declaration for love. Although both characters make similar jokes, Miyuki’s secondary relationships are slightly less funny than Kaguya.
3. Kaguya Shinomiya
Kaguya’sama isn’t named after the vice-president of the student council. The standard battle segments feature Kaguya engaged in a totally counterproductive match of wits and with the president. Kaguya is also trying to keep her maturity, but there’s a big difference. Kaguya appears to believe her own hype at least in the comedy segments. Kaguya is simultaneously confident and incredibly naive. This makes for some of the most hilarious moments in anime. Kaguya, the teenage protagonist, may try to appear dignified and proper but she has a terrifying edge that will send chills down Ishigami’s spine.
2. Yuu Ishigami
Ishigami, the last member of student council, is a pessimistic treasurer who has a bad habit of accidentally summoning Chika’s or Kaguyas wraths. Ishigami, who is always on the brink of bailing on the group due to fear and not laziness but is withdrawn, is the perfect foil for the bubbly Chika’s rash randomness. Why is the treasurer ranked above Miyuki or even Kaguya in this episode? Ishigami’s jokes are fresh throughout the season because he has less screen time. Although the man can sometimes be the voice of reason, Ishigami is often the one who suffers from “foot in the mouth” syndrome.
1. Chika Fujiwara
Chika rises to the top if Kaguyasama is forced to vote. Chika, the least well-known of the four student council members is a force for good that spreads joy and laughter around the globe. The pink-haired bundle is unpredictable to the point that it seems like a snake who sheds its skin. Chika is portrayed in one sketch as a clever master strategist while the next depicts her rapping only for laughs.
Technically, all comedy that includes a punchline is technically a joke. To facilitate the story’s comedy tone, Ishigami and Kaguya are purposefully rigid. Their personalities naturally give rise to appropriate jokes. Chika’s essence, however, is unpredictable. She doesn’t have to conform to the limitations of defined traits. Neglected, this character can become irritating. Chika is an amazing piece of art!
